The new one is a bit stiffer than the old one -- and that's a good thing. Altho too squishy for a one-handed hip-carry, even old one was fine for carrying an entire load with two hands. The old one is typical Rubbermaid quality -- quite durable -- and I expect the new one to be just as good. I needed a second laundry basket and considered stiffer, hip-carry style for the new one, but reviews indicated handles broke after a short time. Also, they were a bit taller and did not clear the door on my front-loading washer. So, got a second one of these. It's just what I expected. Reasonably priced, stacks with the old one, gets the job done. I like it. [As others have noted, this basket is dark navy blue, not the medium blue shown incorrectly in some photos]

They need to return to producing these iconic, simple, perfect laundry baskets that maximized the space because of no weird curves or handles. Their website says they stopped production in 2022, unfortunately. I wonder how difficult it would be to start those molds back up again??? I know I would buy some more!

This is a totally average basket. Nothing wrong with it and it will hold up for a while. I think if you loaded it up heavily, you might start to see the handles bend out of shape. Sometimes, I fill it up and try to put it on my hip to open the door but the rim usually ends up bending. That said, it serves me fine, it is worth the money, if you want the sturdy and more durable basket, spend more money to get it. Overall, totally fine functional basket.

I bought 2 of these. Had some several years ago and really liked. . So far they have help up very well. I thought I had wanted larger baskets; but found them difficult to manage when loaded and going up the stairs. If possible,I will only buy Rubbermaid as before. The Sterilight baskets did not last well and don’t like Sterilights other products either.

I thought I was getting two baskets because there are two in the picture. I should have questioned that I guess, but I didn't see anything telling me different. I have had several of these baskets for many years, purchasing more as needed. It is so nice that they all nest together so well. A couple of the baskets have started to crack at the top on the long side. It is due to me trying to carry it against my hip. That pulls the sides in and causes them to crack. Some other brands of baskets are sturdier and don't have that problem but I have been committed to using these because they were reasonably priced and I could have several. Now I found they are not reasonably priced at all. If you are careful with them they will last a long time and they are so light to carry around.

Our old laundry basket was held together by duct tape due to damage caused by toddlers who are now teens using it as a place to sit. Decided it was time for a clean start. Living in NYC it is not always apparent where to buy these kind of largish household products. There are very few K-Marts and Targets and most local home stores don't have room for large items. Amazon to the rescue! So far the laundry basket is doing great and as long as the teens don't try to sit in it, it should hold up for several years more.

I bought this basket in blue because I heard the white one yellows. I had a purple version for over 20 years. The handles broke and I duct taped it together until I found this. The hard plastic ones crack and break. This is overpriced with shipping, but since I expect it to last 20 years, I figure that's $1 a year.

This was a nag prevention buy. We’ve had 2 of this same basket for many years. When my husband volunteered to fold the laundry, there were times when 2 baskets weren’t enough. This is the same quality basket as our much older others. A helpful addition to getting the laundry done.

It's light, and flexible so I can carry it easily on my hip. It holds a large load (standard machine) worth of laundry It is all one piece so you don't have to worry about anything breaking off and it is very easy to clean.

Wir sind auf der Suche gewesen nach stabilen Wäschekörben, mit denen auch mal ein Einkauf transportiert werden kann. Wir haben einen Wäschekorb von Rubbermaid, den ich bereits von meiner Schwiegermutter geerbt habe, der mindestens 20 Jahre alt ist und absolut stabil ist und aussieht wie neu. Daher unser Entschluss von diesem stabilen guten Wäschekorb noch mehr zu kaufen. Leider wurden wir völlig enttäuscht. Die neuen Wäschekörbe sind von der Größe identisch. Das Material ist jedoch wesentlich weicher. Selbst bei normaler Wäsche knickt der Korb beim tragen schon zusammen. Absoluter Mist. Wir haben bewusst mehr ausgegeben in der Hoffnung ein langlebiges Produkt zu kaufen welches sein Geld wert ist. Leider eine völlige Enttäuschung. Ich verstehe gar nicht wie eine Firma es schafft ein simples, sehr gutes Produkt über die Jahre qualitativ so runter zu wirtschaften.

This is an awesome laundry basket! I've used it several times a week for the last nine months and it's holding up very well! The plastic is more flexible than rigid, but it is quite sturdy. It holds one large load of laundry. Note: It comes in navy blue, not light blue like the thumbnail would suggest.
