Taste Terrible!
Ok, I KNOW herbal cigs do not taste like regular cigs. They are purposely different and often take some getting used to. However, I do not think I could get used to these. After my first puff I literally said out loud to no one in particular "these taste like the zoo." What does that mean? If you have ever wondered what the straw and hay that zoo animals eat/live on/ sleep on tastes like - this is it. It tastes like these cigs. That is not good, SO not good. Plus, I don't find herbals helpful for quitting. What I really need is to re-learn what to do when my smoking crave is triggered. These do not help me to do that - they just allow me to indulge the smoking crave with a product that is not addicting (but still not healthy and safe). So, back to the drawing board I go!!

Just perfect
I've been wanting to try a cigarette for some time but definitely searched wisely, tobacco and nicotine plus 4,000 or so deadly chemicals and carcinogens are an obvious no. I pondered upon Honeyrose cigarette brands. They're made in the UK, they're 100% natural herbs, non nicotine and tobacco free. Still skeptical at first, but hey; gotta try right? The website honeyroseusa.com provides depth detail of the different varieties. Honeyrose menthol, comes in a pack of 20 in a sliding case, sorta like a giant matchbox, gold foil covers the cigs, and the cigarette itself looks legit, has a honeyrose symbol where the filters at. The side of the box cautions that herbal cigarettes are hazardous to your health as they create tar and carbon monoxide, but no biggy, beats nicotine, tobacco, ammonia, carcinogens etc. was skeptic with all the mixed amazon reviews, surely new buyers always will, but i honestly don't comply with any positive nor negative. It's really just buy and see for yourself we all have our taste. So i bought em, expidated shipping, and shipped from NY, got em a day earlier than expected date. It perplexes me how people tend to confuse the smell, look and taste of honeyrose menthol cigarettes to marijuana, burnt grass and such. Packed this puppy bout 8 times, opened it up, smelled delicious, literally like menthol and chocolate. Pulled one out, the herbs looked nothing like pot, it was a more darker variety of tea blends (the ingredients are specially selected naturally grown herbs as stated on the box, including marshmallow, red clover and rose petals; menthol taste is acquired by addition of honey and fruit juices and are non addictive). The cig smelled of rich chocolate, definitely not burning grass or marijuana, but it was intriguing to smell chocolate. Lit it up, and wow! It's amazing. You can really taste and feel that cool refreshing menthol, and trust me, it does not smell or taste of burning grass or pot. After that i felt so sleepy and relaxed, and lightly buzzed, but felt totally relaxed man. The con is, you smoke em really quick, i smoked my first one in 2 minutes, the herbs burn out really quick. But if you're just patient and puffing every so and then, they last a good 8 minutes or more. Towards the end you can really distinguish the fruit flavors, mmm! It was a delicious surprise, but it was hot, smooth too. Your fingers will smell like burnt paper though, but thats common sense, it will leave a burnt odor on you, with that menthol smell too, but the aftertaste isnt bad, smelled mildly but it was refreshing and smooth menthol, fruit flavor. Gotta say, just buy em and you wont regret it, for those trying to quit; try it man! For actors, dude these are an amazing buy! Coming from someone who's taken theatre, honeyrose is really generous in selling these to theatre companies, there's a specific section for theatre companies and actors to buy the brands. I'm never encouraging people to smoke but, if you're quitting or really want to smoke, go for Honeyrose. I've already bought the chocolate and blue smokes.

An admirable cause
I actually never touched a cigarette in my life until now. I used to smoke cigars and the pipe occasionally (Once every 4+ months) and never inhaled. Yeah, same health risks even if I didn't inhale, but I'm not here to argue that. These herbal cigarettes are actually a cool idea that just cannot get executed properly. I was interested in smoking cigarettes until I tried these things. Yes, the flavor is better than the others out there and the smoke is actually as foul-smelling as a normal cigarette. But the taste in the mouth is pretty awful. It's hard to describe. I personally would have them add nicotine & chemical additive- free tobacco to these than the "herbal medley" they have going on right now. There are strains of the tobacco plant, that the cigarette industry has not touched, which contain significantly lower amounts of nicotine. I wish they would use that because I just can't stand these. The pack is like an oversized post-it-note, not your traditional cig pack. The cigarettes on the inside of the pack are wrapped in some gold-like foil. Nice and neat. The cigarettes look almost identical to a marlboro. When you light up, however, the cigarette burns rather fast. Being a cigar smoker, I do have longer "draws" which shortens the duration of a single stick compared to a cigarette smoker. However, even when resting, the cigarette burns rather fast. The smell really stays with you as well. You can brush, floss, or spray as much as you'd like, but that powerful smell is still lined along the membranes of your throat and nostrils. So it takes a while for the awful taste/smell to be purged from your system. I had to resort to a fiery shot of Jack Daniels just to clear the throat and my senses from affirming constantly how bad I smelled. Tips: This product is admirable in its purpose. If you personally are okay with the smell, great! Chances are others might not be. Smoke upwind when possible and with a group. Do not smoke this after a meal or after alcohol- rely on those to neutralize your smell and senses. (Drunk people also don't care/know a good smell from a bad one). And if you are conscientious of carrying around a pack of "nicotine and additive-free" smokes, put a couple in a cheap cigarette holder your grandpappy had when he was "cool." I only recommend this because it's a good deterrent for people interested in cigarettes without exposing them firsthand to nicotine. To smokers trying to quit, I recommend the e-cigs ("blu" has non-nicotine/tobacco flavors available).

Thank GOD for this.
I am four months smoke free.. It's been HELL. It was cold turkey. I have an oral fixation and I just love the act of smoking. It's a hobby; a social comfort. Honestly, guys, the only one that is most relatable to a cigarette is the menthol brand. The other deluxe and special blend was just air I hit it so hard and still couldn't get the feel. The trick to this!!! *Dont breathe in our out your nose and it is like smoking a light menthol. Take big hits! Hits the spot. You'll hate the first one but now I find myself ordering another pack. I can't wrap my head around the negative comments. It's a different smell but definitely not a marijuana scent. It's burning herbs. People are so greedy! This product is something I see myself continuing and BUT WITH A TAR FILTER. I am so fortunate to across this products. Almost made me give up. I suggest you have an E-Cig And them Just Stop them. Make yourself miss them so when You try these you won't really remember the Regular cig taste and you'll be thanking your lucky stars. The other blends taste like air. Not even a taste..which confused me because it has one more star. So remember, hit it hard. The cig actually doesn't burn as quickly as these Comments made it sound. Does Not smell like grass..? It's a bittersweet smell but not obnoxious enough for comments. I promise you guys, it's worth it. Coming from a Newport smoker for 12 years. If you can, find your self control to not smoke for at least 3 months and then buy these is my suggestion so you appreciate it more. After all, this is all psychological fixation..or we would just be back to the cancer sticks. Not worth killing yourself. Settle for this. Remember a tar filter!

tastes like weed dipped in a cowpie..smells even worse
OMFG I have NEVER tasted anything this bad. In my journey to quit smoking real cigarettes I bought two packs of these. At first you get a HEAVY marijuana smell, taste, and throat hit. Then the cow s*** comes in. And if you smoke these in your car, be prepared to dry heave every time you get into your car for weeks!!!! Fabreeze w/ Gain was the only thing that worked to cut down the smell to a tolerable level. DO NOT BUYYYYY!!!! ughhhh bluck ew yuck etc.

Pretty Decent Alternative Cigarettes!
At first I was really anxious about ordering these, since they seem to have a fair share of detractors. I decided to give them a try; a few business days after I ordered a couple of packs, they were speedily delivered on my doorstep. The pack was as pictured, almost reminiscent of Dunhills with all of their Britishness and "Made in England" guarantee. Upon tamping down and opening a pack up, I was greeted by a scent slightly spicy with just a hint of menthol, almost reminiscent of Chinese herbal medicine or Ricola cough drops, but not too overwhelming. The first test cigarette lit up rather easily for a tobacco- free product; I was surprised by how much menthol I could taste, given how many reviewers complained they couldn't taste any at all (I guess we ex- smokers are a bit taste/smell challenged after all, not to mention a trifle irritable lol); the menthol notes just grew stronger as I approached the filter upon smoking. I just finished another cigarette, and I can say that out of all the different fake cigarette brands I've tried, this one comes the closest to actual tobacco; you can kinda taste a sort of smokey savoriness that is very reminiscent of a real tobacco cigarette, and I was pleasantly surprised, especially after all of the negative comments that almost threw me off this purchase. I didn't really sense that they were too quick burning as most people overexaggerated about, but they didn't give off as much voluminous smoke as some other brands I've tried, and they do burn a bit hot in all fairness. Still, this does not taste half as bad as some dramatic reviewers would lead you to believe, or nearly as bad as (shudder) USA Golds believe it or not, and I will actually buy some more if the ubiquitously undesirable craving to smoke hits again; of course, without nicotine, I probably won't find myself needing to chain smoke these, but then again that's a good thing (you might get a little carbon monoxide lightheadedness if you rush these)! All in all, if they offered more of a carton discount, this would probably be the best darn cigarette replacement on Amazon that I've found so far! {singing} Ruuule Britannia...

Try again, Honeyrose
These things come in a very nice little box. You open the box and you see 20 white-filter sticks that look like cigarettes. That's where the good part ends. These things taste bad. I have little motivation to light one, and if I do light one, little motivation to finish it. They do leave an aftertaste in your mouth that just lingers for a while. The menthol in these is very weak. One of the purposes of smoking cigarettes is to feel the pleasure of inhaling potent smoke. The taste and feeling associated with these cigarettes is not pleasurable at all. I have had this pack for over a month now, and have used less than half of them. Not buying again.

Hard to rate
Well when I ordered these, I honestly thought I was ordering e-cigs. So I wasn't to happy when they were actually cigs. But then I read the package, and they have no nicotine and no tar. Are herbal. On the plus side, they did not make me cough, no bad smell. Actually kinda smelled like a rose bush. On the down side,,,,they also tasted like a rose bush, and it was on fire. If you just have to smoke, these would work. But I don't, and I won't . I'm so sorry. I won't ever buy these again.

Tasty and Satisfying
These are the first herbal cigarettes I've tried, and I was kinda skeptical about them. But I was impressed enough from the positive reviews on Amazon.com that I thought I'd give them a try. Although, at best, I thought they'd be a tolerable alternative to real cigarettes. (Especially since I've never liked menthol "real" cigarettes.) Well, actually, I was particularly skeptical about the "alternative" part since they don't have nicotine. Boy, was I surprised. These are great! Really tasty and actually completely satisfy the 'ol nicotine craving. That latter point still puzzles me but, for whatever reason, for me they really do. (Although, granted, I just had the one pack.) I just ordered my second batch a couple days ago.
