Great system with a refreshing color difference.
This is the first gaming purchase I've made on Amazon and I absolutely love it. The OLED vs. LCD w/ back light is negligible in terms of quality having seen both screens. The LCD has improved the battery life opposed to its predecessor and have used it extensively for about 7 hours before needing to recharge it. The internal memory storage is a nice addition since I updated the system on the original internal memory then installed the 64GB card I also got for it. The system functions flawlessly and smoothly. The hardware itself is solid in construction, and the color difference compared to the American black-only counterpart is a refreshing aesthetic difference. Camera quality is something to be desired (it's a little grainy), yet it is better than expected for a game system. Ergonomically the system fits in my hand very nicely. I don't experience any of the fatigue that some others have mentioned in their reviews. The only other thing that could've been changed was the placement of the speakers having not moved from the previous version. It essentially works not only as a portable gaming system, but also as a mini tablet of sorts. The Content Management Assistant software works as expected and I've put majority of what I listen to onto the system as well. And as already been answered it does work with all games and can be changed to English, but comes set up to be used in Japanese. The controls in the menus work like how the ps one and ps2 where 'O' selects options and the 'X' button cancels/goes back. Overall this is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. I recommend this to anyone who wants to break the monotony of the standard option available here in the states. It is, however, recommended to pick up a screen protector and a case for it so as to protect it from damage.

Blue and White PS Vita Review
I'm a little late reviewing this but better late than never. The blue and white ps vita is so pretty, I enjoy the colour scheme way more than the plain black version we get in the west. I never had the original vita so the change from OLED to LCD didn't really bother me, the screen still looks really nice and it's probably the best looking portable gaming system you can get right now. It's very comfortable to hold and it actually has really great sound, as opposed to an iPhone or 3ds anyways. The only very minor thing that bothers me is the the buttons don't feel smooth when you press them, the squeak a little and feel spongy. But other than that the system was really great and I've put almost 100 hours in on it already, and that's with working and going to classes full time. I was kind of worried importing a 200$+ system in from Japan because I thought that it might get damaged along the way but I'm so glad I did. As I mentioned before the colour scheme looks great and there wasn't even a scratch on the system, the box didn't even have a dent in it. It was packed very well and was nicely protected. I'm a little fuzzy on the details because it was a couple of months ago but I'm pretty sure the system even showed up a few days early! All and all the system is really nice looking, it showed up safe and looking just as new had I gone out and bought it locally, and it's a lot of fun. I definitely recommend it. Also, the only game I own currently is Persona 4 Golden and as long as you don't hate jrpg's I would highly recommend playing it!

Japanese Vita 2000
It was pretty good, packaging was lack luster. Unit was bubblewrapped and placed inside the shipping box. It came with a charger which is good, so far no issues! Brand new and seems really good. Its clean but precarious box. My daily driver instead of my psp :)

Upgrade?
As a owner of the previous model I am not disappointed with this redesign in anyway. I had my black vita for nearly a year now and it has served me well. too bad I got it and shortly after a newer model was announced. once I heard of its OLED to LCD downgrade I didn't want to upgrade. Then again this was a new opportunity own a newer vita. since the color scheme is limited to boring black in the US I chose this beautiful light blue/ white and ordered it. the design feels a whole lot better with a sleek new rounder edges. it is noticeably thinner and rounder with bigger finger resting pads at the rear. a problem with the previous model with certain games that accidently activates the rear touch pad leading to cumbersome gameplay( im looking at u Snake Eater HD!!) . after slapping on the screen protector I turned it on and the LCD screen wasn't really a huge difference from the OLED it just seemed paler in color not as sharp with colors. another feature I needed to have was that it takes a mini usb cable instead of its clunky cumbersome proprietary cable. its a less hassle just taking one cable to work now yay. as for the battery it does seem to last a little longer but then again this vita is still relatively so new maybe a future update will be more accurate. overall the size, battery life, mini usb and a LCD screen does make this worth a purchase.

Should you buy the PS Vita Slim? Depends.
I bought the Vita Slim since my Original Vita's audio port stopped working due to corrosion so I decided to get the this one. Regardless of it's higher price, I really liked this PS Vita Slim. I will list comparisons and new additions of the Vita Slim below. -I was a bit wary of going from the OLED(Original Vita's screen) to the LCD(Vita Slim's screen), but in reality there really is no major difference other than saturation differences. The Original Vita's screen had an over saturated look to it in my opinion. And from my experience from playing the original Vita, the Vita Slim actually has a SLIGHTLY sharper graphics(could be because of the over saturation in the Original Vita causing a bit of a blurry image) and no over saturation. The Vita Slim also seems to be at a lower brightness level than the Original Vita(pretty useful if you're playing in the dark). -Compared to the original Vita, the Vita Slim has significantly more accessible buttons(Start, Select, PS buttons). The buttons pop out so you don't have to dig your fingers into the buttons like before. No analog stick differences. -One thing I did notice is the speakers on the Vita Slim sound a bit less surround sound compared to the Original Vita. But sound through earphones sound equally as great to the Original Vita. -The Vita Slim also has 1 GB built into it. If you have a Memory card inserted then the 1 GB will not work, it only functions without having a memory card inserted. The 1 GB is not something too useful, but it's a neat addition. -While being in the Vita Slim's menu, you'll notice the circle and X buttons are flipped, but not in the games. -The back touchpad have been made smaller so the issue of accidentally pressing it will not be a problem like before. But is still very responsive and in my opinion, better -One very great addition is that the battery life lasts way longer than the Original Vita. I used to have issues with the battery life with the Original Vita even though the brightness settings were all the way down. No more battery life issues with the Vita Slim since it lasts about 7 hours compared to the 4 for the Original VIta. -The Vita Slim's touch screen is as responsive as ever, I think it has a slightly more responsive touch screen based on what I've seen so far. -And the Japanese Vita Slim versions have a variety of colors, which is very cool compared to the plain old black. If it's white, small scratches on it actually look less revealing compared to the black Vita. The Vita Slim is also less heavier. Hope this review helped make up your mind, I recommend it to anyone considering getting a new PS Vita. If you don't really care about the Vita Slim's price, then get it. But if you're on a tight budget, then get the Original Vita, it's just as great.

Amazing console and great deal
I held this review until I could actually try the full functionality of the console using games and testing buttons, wifi, touchpad, audio, joysticks and so. First I gotta say I’m soooo impressed with the conditions that the ps vita was delivered, even thou I got it second hand, it came in such pristine conditions, barely notice of scratches(if any), It seem’d well kept, and actually it was. I used to own a fat version of the vita and was never quite fonded about the way it felt on my hands, also the lack of support from sony made me look away to other consoles… but now in 2022, I saw a coworker having fun with his ps vita, it looked quite differently from I remembered, it had a grip case, and showed me how now, can been ”unlocked” with all your fav games… so that was it, with the freelance developers unlocking it to its full potential, and with the right accessories (bought a case grip that now fits so perfectly on my hands, see pics for reference), made me wanted to revisit it and play the games that never got the chance to play before. This device was sold at a really high cost when was launched, but now, can be found as second handed for a very affordable price. I got this from the outstanding seller SKR camera store (thank you for taking good care of your 2nd hand products), since it was not only delivered earlier than expected but in such a great conditions. One downside is that I might have not read or missed the part that stating that it didnt include the charger adapter (it came with a usb data cable though) but still, It doesnt bother me a bit given the device was in such outstanding shape. So far I’m very happy with both: product and the seller.

I love it! Ive used it almost every day.
I ordered it in a failed attempt to get it here before I went on a trip. In its defense it arrived three days earlier then the expected shipping date. Now about the stuff you actually care about. This little consol is awesome! I love the color, the blue is very nice and I've had it for almost a month and I haven't gotten tired of it in the slightest. The screen is beautiful in my opinion, I haven't had the original vita but this one seems great to me nonetheless. It's really easy to enjoy it immediately if you have Playstation Plus due to the fact you get multiple games for free right off the bat. I went out and bought a memory card for it though because although it comes with one gigabyte of storage, it's not nearly enough for any games. The build quality is great, I'm generally very careful with my stuff so I haven't dropped it yet so I can't comment on its resistance to that. If you're a guy and you have the jeans with decent sized pockets then you can definitely carry this thing around in your pocket due to how slim and light it is, you hardly even notice it's there. So enough with my rambling I'll leave you with a final decision and a recommendation for some games. The games I have had the most fun with are Unit 13 (free from PSN) because it's easy to pickup and put down when you need it. Persona 4 golden, this game.... It's just great, if you enjoy games where there is a great in depth story, lovely character development, and a feeling of personal relation to what's happening in the game.... Then get it. If you don't like that stuff, get it anyways and at least try it. OK now, my verdict is, definitely a five star product. It's well built, fun to use, and despite what people say it really does have a good game library. So I recommend this product to anyone who enjoys gaming anytime anywhere.
