Too Small, major leakage
If the person needing this product is 100 -150 pounds it should work. If they are at least 200 pounds it will not work. It will be too small. And leak horribly!

Promising based on testing with water
This review is for “Leak-Proof Female Wearable Urinal System for Women 100-330 lbs, Medical Grade Silicone Collector with 5 ft Tube Tube, 3 Reusable Leg Bags, Discreet Incontinence Kit for Travel & Home Care, Plus Size” priced at about $30 at the time of writing. I picked this up because I thought it might be useful for a family member in the future and possibly for long trips, so I tested it as thoroughly as I could without actually peeing in it. The product advertises that it works for men and women up to 300 lbs. It comes with written instructions and a QR code that links to a very clear video guide. I did not notice the QR code at first, so I attached the thigh straps incorrectly. Make sure to attach the straps near the belt and not near the collector, or they will be uncomfortable. It took me a little time to get the straps on correctly because I had to rely on feel. I could not see what I was doing unless I used a mirror. Once the straps were attached properly, the fit was comfortable. The kit includes adapters to shorten the belt if you are on the smaller end of the weight range. The belt is stretchy, lightweight, and comfortable. For reference, I am about 245 lbs, 5'7", postpartum, and have thick thighs. The silicone collector feels a little awkward to position as a woman, but it is soft and flexible. It made a very good seal when I tested it with a balloon. The written instructions for connecting the tubing and bags are clear. I tested the entire system connected together. The tubing is flexible, long enough, and does not kink easily. The bags feel like good quality, similar to enteral bags I already use daily for a family member, and there is no chemical smell. The kit includes a hook for holding the bag, but the hook is like one you’d put on a wall, and there is no garter or strap to secure the hook to a leg. Without a way to secure the bag, I wasn’t able to test this under clothing. I used a syringe without the plunger to run a few hundred milliliters of water through the system by gravity flow. The balloon stayed dry around the seal. I did not hear the water running through the tubing at first, but once there was water in the bag, I could hear it trickling. The locks on the bags are solid and easy to use when draining. The day bag should work under loose clothing as long as you have a way to secure it. The night bags are very large and would be difficult to hide if you are out of the house. There are no cleaning instructions included in the insert. I had originally planned to test how this handles actually peeing in it, but without having cleaning instructions I wasn’t comfortable doing that. I also only tried this on over leggings, for the same reason. I tested this product as thoroughly as I could within the limitations I described because I felt like it was important, especially as someone who may need to support a family member who uses this kind of product in the future. I’m disappointed I couldn’t fully test it due to the missing garter and missing cleaning instructions. These two things will be crucial for anyone who is new to this kind of product, though they may matter less to someone who has used a similar system before. Overall, it seems promising based on testing with water, but I cannot speak to real world use, long-term durability or cleaning. My testing is limited and potential buyers should look to other reviews to find the details I was unable to test. Because of those limitations, I cannot justify a higher rating.

Looks to be very well made and hopefully an effective solution for elderly mother
This looks to be a well made system. In appearance, it seems it would be quite inconspicuous beneath clothing, allowing discrete use for the wearer. The cup is permanently fixed to the strapped on portion of the belt and it appears that the tubing simple screws into the valve at the bottom of the cup and then into the collection bag. I ordered this system for my elderly mother who is currently in rehab with a broken ankle and will be non-weight bearing for a while longer. I got this for when she comes home and has difficulty getting up and down to go to the restroom. Since she hasn’t had a chance to use it yet, I can’t really speak to the effectiveness of the system but can say I have concerns as to how well it will work when reclined or laying down and also how well it empties to keep from overflowing when flow is heavy (the tip that leads into the tubing is very small) and I’m also concerned that seeping could occur when sitting. Because of all that, I also purchased adult diapers to use in tandem with this system to make sure she stays dry and so does her bed/furniture. Hoping with this combination of both she’ll be able to sleep comfortably and keep dry too! The cup itself is very soft and flexible, and doesn’t seem like it would rub or feel too invasive. It looks odd. However, with heavier pants or a strategically placed pillow in a lap, it should stay fairly concealed. It looks straight forward as far as instructions for wearing, it straps on and has straps on the legs to keep everything in place, looks fairly easy. It looks to be an effective, and practical system and Im glad to have it to keep her from risking another fall trying to jump up and rush to the bathroom and also to keep her dry and comfortable to protect her fragile skin. Huge value to me for peace of mind alone.

Real user experience review and it’s going in the garbage! Horrible product!
If i could give this product 0 stars, I would. This product stinks! I am so glad that I tested it at home over a toilet because it absolutely did NOT work for me. Let me give you the pro’s and cons and then I’ll give you my full thoughts/experience on using it. Pro’s: - waist size is adjustable via Velcro. It’s elastic and it does stretch. I am a waist 40 with bigger hips and it fit me just fine. There was tons of room left for even bigger waist sizes. I believe it will probaly fit a bariatric waist sized person too. - the straps that go around your legs are adjustable. They button in to the front button like as if you were buttoning a shirt. - comes with 3 generous sized collection bags - the hose is kink free - the collection cup is squeezeable and females WILL feel it between their legs BUT it’s not a bad feeling. It’s actually not bad at all thanks to it being able to move with you. You may notice it more if you’re moving but sitting down is not an issue. - the collection cup stays where it needs to be and it does not get out of place - a lot comes with this kit Con’s: - the adjustable waist strap that connects via Velcro, the part that it connects to —>there’s a small piece of that part that you can feel up against your skin which is annoying and very uncomfortable to the point to where it will cause a brush burn/red mark/abrasion. If i were the brand, i would make this a ‘snap’ instead - the elastic straps that go around your legs are HARD to connect if you’re trying to connect it while standing up, because they button like a shirt. It would be much easier if they snapped, but since they don’t, I advise users to see where it feels best standing up, and then remove it, and button the straps where you want them, then step into the loops that way with them already set so that you don’t have to deal with this. I ended up doing that myself because every time i would go to button it, it would just slip away or i had to try several times. I got frustrated and just took it off and set it first then put it back on. If it had snaps, it would be a lot easier. - the collection cup does NOT align to the female anatomy. I think the cup needs to be wider or longer, or both. When i tried to void, nothing went into that cup. That’s why I am glad I was at home trying this out on the toilet because had i not, it would have been a big mess for me and embarrassing. - another additional note about the cup that i noticed when cleaning it up is that the user has to control their void speed because if you try to void fast, the cup backs up and overflows. This cup drains slowly. I didn’t even have the tubing connected, and while cleaning it up, the water slowly flowed out. That is not good for incontinent people. With the tubing connected, I fear that it would probaly flow even slower. I believe it is due to the hole that goes to a tapered tip external from the cup. The tip allows it to be connected to the tubing, but the void still has to pass through the wide cup hole and go thru the tapered tip before getting to the wide tubing. That’s the problem - the tapered tip. That’s what is inhibiting the void speed. It slows the flow - this is not good. Overall, i think this product is not going to work for men or women due to the fact that you have to control your void. If you can do that, it may work for you, but incontinent people should not have to do that. If you’re truly incontinent, you need a product that is going to work for you and not cause skin abrasions and backflow. I do not recommend it and i threw mine out.

Female urinal set works but could use some improvements
The set is packaged in a small zip lock bag. My order was shipped with other items in a box and arrived in perfect condition. The catheter consists of a soft silicone cup that snaps into a jockstrap style cloth piece. It has a velcro strap that tightens around your waist and two smaller cloth straps that go around your legs and secure in place with a button. The set also includes a section of vinyl tubing, a hook, clips and one 1000ml and 2 2000ml bags. The vinyl tubing has lines along the sides and has held up in my testing. The hook has a wall plate for mounting to a flat surface so seems out of place. The clips are small and difficult to use and feel like a strange way to shorten the waist strap. The bags are simple but have worked well in my testing. I find the 1000ml bags a better compromise of capacity and inconspicuousness so we found them to be more useful than the bigger 2000 ml bags. There were less expensive options when I was shopping so these weren't the greatest value. The silicone urinal sections have a molded edge that should make a loose seal on your skin. In our testing the urinal doesn't really inspire confidence as it doesn't form a tight seal to your skin and could leak if caught on clothing or if it shifted. I think these would really benefit from a better sealing method to prevent accidents where the urinal is attached, such as a hydrocolloid seal that would form a waterproof seal on your skin. As is this set just doesn't inspire real confidence.
