3M Clear Paint Protection Film, 8 mil PPF Vinyl Wrap with Self-Healing Technology, UV Protection, Non-Yellowing, Scratch Resistant, Glossy Finish (6 x 72in)

Ok, first off there are a lot of paint protection film out there but I was curious since this was a 3M PPF Pro. Ive used a few in the past and this film is unbelievable. I used the instructions in their ads and there are no bubbles and the film is literally crystal clear. Apart from it being a flawless install, it was really quite easy to work with for being 8 mil thick. Definitely very conforming when you take your time and forgiving when you use a slip solution during the install. I had a some light scratches on the film surface the other day and put the film to the test. Placed boiling water on the film and like magic, all the scratches were gone like new! I don’t leave reviews often but I couldn’t be happier with the film. Knocked it out of the park!

At first, I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. The film is thick like callous and I was working with a curved area, so I wasn’t really quite confident in what I was about to attempt. Fortunately, the video Prime Ave recommends is spot on and was just what I needed. The adhesive is strong so be advised to handle it carefully. Once you spray the adhesive side wet though - game changer, that was the moment I found the film no longer scary to work with. With a slip solution I was able to reposition the film until I had it aligned exactly how I wanted it and started wicking water out until all the bubbles were gone. What I was left with was a flawless finish. For the price, getting genuine 3M Pro Series quality delivered to my door is a total win for a car fanatic who wants a professional result.

I ordered this to add a little extra protection to a high-touch area of my vehicle, and it does work as intended. The film is clear and seems durable once it was applied; however, the installation was trickier than expected, and it was easy to get bubbles/creases. Overall, it is okay for the price, just quite not what I had hoped.

Long time user of 3M PPF. I’ve bought 3M Scotchgard Pro before but always had to buy wider & longer rolls. Glad I can buy just what I need now with the different sizes Prime Ave offers. For those that wonder, it’s definitely 3M. From my previous online purchases, the original Scotchgard film comes on a wax paper liner with 3M printed on the back of it while the new Scotchgard Pro film comes on a plain polyester PET liner. It works as it should just right sized for my needs now. Great product and will buy again!

I have to question whether this was really a 3M product. There were no markings on the backing paper and this was much more difficult to use than the 3M from Vvivid. It took an insane amount of heat and time to get it to tack down to the hood. This is after wiping the hood 3 times with isopropyl alcohol. It is plenty thick but a bear to install. Will see how it holds up
