I removed them from the shipping carton and laid them out on our living room floor overnight lest they smell and/or had gotten stiff in their shipping positions. The front mats were not folded for shipping. The one-piece rear mat unit and the cargo compartment mat were folded, but took to their intended shape well overnight. I never detected any smell, as apparently is not the case for some other products I checked into. Installation was a snap. No trimming necessary, excellent fit. The front mats even had the hook and loop spots perfectly located so they could be locked down on the vehicle floor. Extremely satisfied with the product. Looks great, and the edges of the mats are deep enough that a sizable spill could easily be contained in the mat itself, protecting the carpet beneath. They seem to be thick, pliable and sturdy enough to last a long time.
