Great sand bags that are pretty versatile.
I have now used these on about four camping trips to help hold down my awning while camping at established campsites. Many of these sites have concrete pads around the picnic tables where I have been using these the most. Those spots are more difficult to tie down your awning since it's concrete underneath. These have come in pretty handy to weigh down the legs of the awning using the carabiners. I still would be very watchful as awnings can get away from you very quickly and we never trust them to stay up while we are not around but these have done a good job of holding the awning down in some pretty decent winds. They are fairly easy to pack but of course they take up a little room and add some extra weight. I happened to have a bag of pea gravel available to me from a previous project and so I stuffed the plastic bags with the pea gravel and so far it has worked very well. The bags have held up good too, which was my main concern since I have been using them on concrete quite a bit. The carabiner seem a little cheap but I have had zero issues with them and have not been the most gentle with them at all so those aren't really not a concern to me anymore. Overall I am very happy with these because they are very versatile since you can use them with a carabiner or use them like a saddle and just throw them over the legs of anything that you need to hold down. We have ended up using these in ways I never thought while out camping trying to hold everything from chairs to tables down.

A decent option for sandbags
I'll start by saying that as a photographer I have gone through a lot of sandbags over the years. From using them on lights, to securing sets, I've used just about every type you can think of. These are a very basic set. The carabiners are a nice addition. I found bags to be too thin and small for my liking and opted to go with liter freezer bags instead so that I could fill the cavity to capacity. I also prefer a shorter profile in sandbags as I find it makes it less likely that they'll drag on the floor when thrown over a stand. I'm comparing these to my preferred sandbag (the red striped one) and notice that the material isn't as thick and therefore I don't think they'll be as durable. Rather than using a zipper closure, these use hook and loop. I found that these hold a little more than my preferred bags. All that said, it's a pretty good number of bags for the money. They will definitely get the job done. I'd just be careful about tossing them around, especially if you use the plastic bags they come with.

Very handy for my pop up canopy and camping
I got these to use with a pop up canopy when camping and for a small awning setup in the backyard. Some campsites have concrete pads, so stakes are not an option. These bags solved that problem. I filled them with regular play sand using freezer bags inside. Filling was easy and not messy. Once attached to the canopy legs, they added enough weight to keep things stable in moderate wind. I still take the canopy down if wind gets strong, but these helped a lot. The fabric feels thick and well stitched. I’ve dragged them a bit on concrete and they are still holding up fine. The Velcro closures stay closed and the handles feel solid. The carabiners are basic but they work. I like that they can be draped over legs or clipped on. Very flexible. When empty, they pack flat and don’t take much space. Overall, these are versatile weight bags that work well for camping, outdoor setups, and anything that needs extra stability.

Very functional sandbags
$19.99 when ordered. $24.99 now. I have been wanting to get some more sandbags and this was the perfect opportunity. I use sandbags to weight my easels down and also to wait down various lighting and fabric stands. Basically sandbox come in handy for many things if you need to wait something down. I like that these come with a liner so that you can put your sand in that and then put it in the bag versus worrying about sand coming out of the bag. The bags are well made and stitched very well. They're a good size. I like that they have the handle and come with the carabiners. You get six for the price. I have not went out and priced sandbags so I cannot say whether or not it is a good value in that sense or not, but for me they're a great value because I just needed some more. I'm really thrilled with their quality. They function as they are supposed to and I would say have high functionality due to that split that lets you drape them over a pole or over the bottom of something if you need to versus it just being a single sandbag. They look nice. The black is unobtrusive and a very clean design. They are sized well enough to be enough weight to keep an easel from tipping over or keep something from blowing away from the wind or being easily knocked over due to being slightly off balanced, but they're not so heavy that you're going to break your back carrying them.

These are great for light stands, and popup tents using cordage.
{2026-01-03@1515 * This review is for “Evekea 6 Packs Sandbags for Weight, Heavy Duty Weight Bags for Photo Studio Photography Light Stand Tripod, Sand Bags for Umbrella Base,Outdoor Patio, Sports, Pop up Tent,Camping, Fishing Chair(Black)”, Sold by: Evekea US, $19.99} These are great for light stands, and popup tents using cordage. They have velcro closed pockets, one on each side. The material is surprisingly water tight, except for the sewn seams. You clip the carabineer to the handle, and attach to whatever you need. If you are using a popup canopy, you can use some rope/paracord and a Prusik knot to weigh down the legs. I grabbed some quart sized freezer bags and filled them with 2 lbs (32 ounces) of play sand, and that was the perfect amount for the ziplock bags without overfilling. Two of these 2lb bags fit perfectly in the ziplock bags that are provided with the sandbags. You could carry all the bags and sand in a 5 gallon bucket for easy transport.
