I’ve been painting with watercolor for years, and I’m REALLY particular about my paper. At roughly $1 a sheet for 300lb, 100% cotton watercolor paper in a BLOCK? It’s unheard of. The reviews are good, but there are only a handful of them, and after trying out this paper with a lot of initial skepticism, I don’t understand why it’s not more popular. This is professional quality paper at a student grade price. I’ve just ordered the larger size, and after posting this review I’m going back to their shop for their sketchbooks, which are beautiful, and also made from premium materials. Here are my observations after putting it through a stress test with my first painting: The absorption is amazing- water stays on the surface longer than most papers, absorbs evenly, and dries slowly. It gave me a lot of time to work wet on wet, and when I threw some salt on it the effects were dramatic. This would be an awesome paper for beginners because you don’t need to rush, and it’s easy to control the paint. It’s pretty robust- Masking fluid left on overnight came up without any issues, and scrubbing didn’t damage the paper as long as it wasn’t soaked when I went to town on it, but when I peeled away the washi tape I’d left on for a week, it did take a few bits of the top layer off with it. Good for layering- It was easy to erase pencil lines after painting over them, and I was able to lift without any trouble using a chisel blender, but for the most part, once the color is down, it stays down. Paint stays pretty vibrant- that orange band around the wheel in my photo was a single layer. So yeah, I’m so excited to have found this brand! The quality seems just as good as the more well known, premium brands, and it has its own character that I’m looking forward to messing with. Hopefully they’ll start offering it in bigger sizes too. I’ve never heard of this brand before coming across it on Amazon, and I don’t understand why. I need more people to buy from them so they keep offering these products.

Love love love this watercolor paper. Also can buy frames in same size to be able to gift or sell. So very happy with this purchase. It is such a pleasure to work with. Doesn’t warp.

I love this paper. It is thick and works great with the watercolor. No need to tape it down and it certainly easy to use both sides of the paper saving money

Love this paper. Nice and thick. Paint flows really well. I liked it so much I bought a second pad and I had only used one piece. This will be my go to in the future

If you havent ever painted on 100% cotton, then please do. This one is nice and gives that painterly look that everyone is looking for.

This is very nice paper, I usually use fabriano or arches but had a sketchbook with this brand and liked the paper. I’ll be looking for a larger block. I tried the 8x8 300lb

Great deal for quality weight paper. The sizing appears even, allowing time to play with the paint before settling in. Used a ton of water with multiple washes of watercolor over several days with no warp. On the more textured side for cold press.

Great quality watercolor block. Paper does not warp while you paint your masterpiece.
