Light and useful
I picked up this machete because I needed something tougher than a little hand saw for yard work and hiking trips. This one looked solid but not over-the-top like some giant Rambo knife or anything. When it came in, it felt sturdy right away, not too heavy but not cheap either. Took it out back to clear some branches, and it went through them pretty easy. It also has a saw on the back edge, which is kinda cool if you run into thicker stuff. The handle is grippy and feels pretty secure, even when my hands get sweaty. It fits well in my hand and does not slip, which is a big deal when you are swinging something sharp around. The sheath is decent, not fancy, but it holds the blade fine and makes it easy to carry. Just wish it had a better strap or clip, since it kind of flops around if you are walking fast or climbing over stuff. Cutting-wise, it does a solid job. The blade came pretty sharp out of the box, and the saw part works, though you have to put in some effort—it is not as fast as a real saw, but it helps in a pinch. If you hit something thick or twist it weird, you can feel a little flex in the blade, but nothing major. Definitely not something you want to use like a crowbar though. Overall, it is a handy tool to have around. Not a total beast, but more than enough for clearing trails, trimming trees, or messing around in the yard. If you are looking for something light and useful without going full lumberjack, this one does the trick. Just do not expect it to turn you into some survival expert overnight.

Sharp & comfortable to use!
I had a ton of limbs on my trees to cut down and this machete\saw did the trick! It was easy to use and was very sharp. It's pretty lightweight and made of good quality materials. The grip was comfortable. Happy with my purchase.

Thick Durable Full Tang Machete
This is a pretty decent machete. Full tang blade with a nice sturdy thickness to it. The serrated edge is actually pretty meaty and can do a number on limbs and small trees. This is a small machete with a little heft to it - definitely not my first choice for a middle of nowhere situation but still pretty great. Somewhat sharp out of the box, but can definitely use some sharpening. One thing is that when this arrived the blade did see scratched up with some possible wear. That was a little disappointing. I would have like it if this had a lanyard on it, but that can be added after the fact. Nice and grippy and will stay tactile when things get sweaty. Overall, I'm happy with this. I hope you liked my review. I always try really hard to write reviews are candid, honest, and helpful for your shopping decisions. No AI here... all the poor writing is mine and mine alone! :-)

Dull and Light
I bought this to help with a sod install and it was worthless. If you sharpen it good Im sure it could perform better. Its also really light that doesnt give a good blow to what youre trying to cut like a machette should.

Best Value for a Machete
Great machete, especially for the price. I like that it comes with a nice sheath, and I didn't even realize it would also come with a pair of gloves. Nice bonus. Super useful for chopping through vegetation. It's also versatile with the saw teeth on the other side. Can saw through thicker branches with that. Great value.

The built-in saw on the spine is a great bonus
The 16.5-inch blade is perfectly balanced—long enough for heavy chopping, but still easy to control. It came razor-sharp out of the box and has held its edge well after repeated use on branches, brush, and even small trees.

Great weed cutter.
Works great to cut weeds and small trees that are too thick for my weed wacker. If the blade won't cut them, the saw side will. I first thought it might me too light, but it cuts fine. The handle allows a good grip. It does what I want it to do.

Functional Light Machete
I frequently use a machete around the farm and have used a number of styles of them over the years. The type of machete that is comfortable for an individual can vary greatly depending on your own size, strength, types of job you use it for and even how much room you have to swing and work with it. I have used this machete several times now to chop off cedar limbs, small tree limbs, wild rose bushes and a few poison ivy vines growing up my trees. At about .080” thick and 290 grams or 10 ¼ oz I would consider this a lightweight machete good for light work or those who just can’t tolerate swinging a full-size machete. I found I frequently had to use multiple swings to cut off some limbs. I personally prefer a little more heft and length, so for those who need a heavier duty machete this one is probably not for you. If you have the stamina to swing it, I would look at something at least 16 oz or more and at least 18” long and a thicker blade. My favorite machete is about 22” long and weights in at about 24 oz. The added weight will give you a lot more chopping power to snip off a limb with a single swipe instead of having to hit it 2 or 3 times with a light machete. The longer the machete, the further away it keeps your hand and arm from sharp briars and thorns and it can save a lot of bending over to reach something down low. I like: The machete came sharp and has stayed sharp so far Full tang Stainless steel Grip is comfortable and secure Weight is reasonable The saw cuts well The sheath seems well made but I notice that it is very difficult to slide the blade in without the saw tooth protector on. Concern: The saw is sharp which is good but I wish it had a better protector you could slide onto it to protect yourself from those sharp teeth when you don’t need them. You have to be very careful sliding on the thin little saw blade protector that came with this, it would be very easy to slip and get cut just trying to put it on. I am not really sure this protector is even meant to be reused. Please be careful.
