Very Fluffy, Very Warm and Cozy! Detailed Review Follows...
To begin this review, I want to say that until just a few months ago, I had a white Down Comforter and decided to purchase this one to replace my much loved Down Comforter (it wore out after 8 years)! Also, before I purchased this Comforter, I read MANY of the positive and negative reviews to be as sure as possible that this would be the RIGHT Down Alternative Comforter for me. That said, before are what I found to be the PROS and the CONS of this Comforter: PROS: + Weight/Appearance/Fluffiness/Softness of the Comforter - Just right in my opinion. It is about the same weight as my now retired White Down Comforter. Even looks like my old Down one on my Queen bed! *Also, this Comforter is SUPER FLUFFY, it is like sleeping under a soft and fluffy CLOUD! The material looks like cotton, but it is 100 polyester on the outer covering and on the fill. SOFTNESS of the material - I have found it to be SOFTER than say 100 percent cotton or even 50 percent cotton and I am picky about softness. + All Year Round Usage - YES!!! Personally, I am a cold natured person and so I need to have a comforter on my YEAR ROUND and detest having to change out the comforter for Summer/Winter etc. This one works well for me even in the WINTERTIME. Here in Central Arkansas where I live (mountains are all around where I live), we have our share of snow (a few times a year) and also some icy nights etc. At those times, I place a soft and fluffy, soft white blanket under the Comforter for added warmth and to save on fuel bills (I keep the heating furnace at night at 68 degrees to save energy)! + Washing and Drying Ease - Washing - I washed this in an OLDER Magtag Washer that is 18 years old and has just a LARGE CAPACITY (not a EXTRA LARGE ONE). The Comforter was a tight fit in this older washer, and so I placed it very carefully into my older washer! I washed it in COLD wash and rinse with Wool-lite detergent for washers. Result? The Comforter came out of the washer very clean, and DID NOT cause the SPIN to go out of control like say a couple of pillows sometimes do! The washer and Comforter did fine. Drying - For exactly 45 minutes, I placed this into my OLDER Magtag Dryer on regular temperature with three lavender scent fabric softener sheets. Result? The Comforter came out of my dryer very FLUFFY and smelling wonderful. + What to expect after washing/drying - Just after I had washed and dried, I placed the Comforter back onto my bed and it was pretty much FLUFFY, however, LIKE DOWN, some of the squares did have some lumpy/bumpy effect just like my old Down one had. This is natural and normal with this type of stuffing and also because the squares on this Comforter are so large and the fill is thicker than say a cheap regular style of Comforter so expect this! What I did to fix the lumpy/bumpy (mostly it was in the center): I smoothed it with my hands and most of the lumpy bumpy effects just smoothed out. + Savings over Dry Cleaning my OLD DOWN COMFORTER - Like clockwork, I brought my Down Comforter to my local Dry Cleaner once a month and the cost of dry cleaning it was never cheap! This went on for several years--no more with this new one! + Price/Quality - For the price I paid for this Comforter, I am very pleased with it as for Quality, I find the quality Excellent in ratio to the price I paid! It it NOT of 5 star hotel quality, however, I still give it a true 4.5 stars because I really am enjoying this comforter! CONS (Just one that I found): - Lumpy/Bumpy (somewhat) after washing/drying - I knew this would happen because I had a real Down Comforter so it was expected. If you cannot tolerate this, then I suggest that you purchase a regular non Down like Comforter or even a Quilt. Suggestions on How to measure for your bed: 1) This is 88x88 size which should EASILY fit a FULL bed or a QUEEN BED if you do NOT have a PILLOWTOP or THICK Mattress of say 9 inches or more. For me, I do NOT have a PILLOWTOP Queen mattress, just a thick mattress pad, so this Queen hangs down to just below where my bedskirt is on my bed. 2) If you do have a PILLOWTOP Queen mattress, then I suggest that you purchase the KING size because it will go down longer onto the bedskirt and not look skimpy! Bottom line: If you have owned a Down Comforter, then this one is a great alternative in my opinion. If you are used to a very thick Comforter, this one is of medium thickness, but it is not thin either. Since I am so so picky about Comforters, I can truly say that I love this one and highly recommend it!

Comforter Duvet Insert - All Season Down Alternative Comforter, Black, Oversized King 110" x 96
I ordered the Oversized King for my Queen bed to use as a bedspread. Fits perfectly with approx 3" clearance on each side of bed to the floor, with an approx 8" clearance at the foot, and exactly flush with headboard. It came vacuum sealed and immediately started to expand. Material is soft to touch. The black color matches my black bedskirt perfectly. It's supposed to be cooler as it's advertised as light-weight "year round" usage, although it's still warm for an overheated sleeper as myself. So I could wholeheartedly recommend this as a summer option for people who prefer warm over cool. In the winter when paired with a heavier comforter on top, and a winter-weight blanket, then it's fine as a layering to use in the winter, which is what I intend to do (to make decorative standatd sized regular King comforter as the top layer to add a little perkiness during the winter, then this comforter as a stand-alone layer for summer. So it is versatile, depending on how you choose to use it. As I just received this I can't attest to the durability, however as its very well sewn and lightweight that washing it is a breeze. For darker colors I always wash in cold extra-gentle "bedding setting" to reduce wear 'n tear then line-dry my comforters and bedspreads to keep the colors vibrant and prevent fading Ease of use because as soon as the vacuum sealed wrapping was removed it immediately decompressed and I used it that no more than 3hrs later that night at bedtime. And its really easy to unwrap and throw it on the bed to make it. No struggling with heavy, cumbersome bedding that doesn't move as fluid as this comforter is. For the "cooling" claim I was going to rate this at 4 stars, but because of its versatility, that it's very well constructed and sewn, and that the perfect fitting (for myself, personally) gives this review as 5 stars.

AMAZING Comforter! Don't let them scare you.
So about this comforter.. I purchased received it in the mail on 08/01. I pulled it out the box, fluffed it up a little and then instantly threw it on the bed! I was so apprehensive about ordering based on all the mixed reviews. But it looked so nice on the internet so I just finally gave in and purchased it. I'm EXTREMELY happy I did. I love it. I have a queen sized bed. I've never liked getting queen sized comforters but they don't allow enough wiggle room under the covers. So I purchased a King Sized Comforter. It is the perfect fit. The tabbed corners drape down to the floor. The comforter is soft and super comfortable. It has the right amount of material in it. Here lately, the weather has been 90-93 degrees. In the house I keep it 74 degrees and run the ceiling at night. It keeps me nice and cozy. I sleep under it all night. The most I've had to adjust is taking my arms out from under the comforter. That's it. It looks so good on the bed in the daytime. So.. Fast forward to 08/17 - I washed my comforter for the FIRST time. I was nervous because once again, I heard bad reviews about washing it. I put all of my detergent in, baking soda and bleach, then my comforter. I have a regular sized washer and this comforter is King Sized. I just put it on regular wash for white clothes and in hot water. It came out the washer EXACTLY how I put it in. There was NO bunching of fabric, filling, etc. AND because the comforter is so light and made out of good material, I didn't even dry. Yes - that is correct. I NEVER dried it. I didn't need it. When I pulled it the wash, it was about 85% dry. I just fluffed it out and spread it across the bed with the ceiling fan on. It dried in 30mins. So awesome! If you must dry, I've read that it should be on tumble/low heat. So far, I've had my comforter for 2wks and I love it. I sleep under it every night. As is. Totally worth the money! I would buy it all over again when the one I have is finally all used it.

very happy with this purchase
very nice comforter, especially for the price. big, soft, plush and very comfy. it's like sleeping in a cloud, i really really like it. my only complaint is that the stitching along the seams seems a bit flimsy- after running it through the washer and dryer once i noticed the threads along the seams were a little loose in some areas. i did not check to see if this was the case before i washed it, so that could have had something to do with it, however it's really not that big of an issue for me because it's not like the stitching is completely unravelling or anything like that, just a tread or two sticking out here and there and loose along the seams in some spots, but not too bad. the comforter itself is very warm and i sleep great with it, it's so fluffy and puffy and prefect for cuddling or just feeling cozy and warm. i would definitely buy this again, and recommend it to people. i much prefer this down alternative to real down comforters- with real down comforters i always had an issue with them getting flat, feeling damp, and the down shifting to certain areas and leaving the majority of the comforter feeling quite limp and thin. with this down alternative there's no issue with any of that- the stuffing is thick and doesn't shift around inside the fabric at all so to me it feels a lot thicker, warmer, and cozier than the goose downs i've tried in the past. not to mention it's easier to toss in the wash, and more affordable. i would rate this five stars if not for the slight issue with the seam stitching, but even with that i'd say it's more like 4.5 stars in my book :)

My honest review after 4 years of owning this comforter. This is review was not paid for.
I've had this comforter for about 4 years. It has held up great over the past few years it's lightweight but still nice and warm to be under in the winter. During the summer it's cool to lay on top of or bunch it up and snuggle without it being to hot (I'm talking arizona summers hot!) the size is perfect on my king size bed to cover ma and my husband and our son without having to play tug o war all night. it washes well still with no lumps and the color is a tiny faded but it's been washed a million times!!! The stitches around the edges are all still together and the corner loops have also held up well I've had several duvet covers on it and usually go back to using it as a comforter because it's so comfy! Definitely a good buy! I'll buy another one when it's time to retire this one. This review is a honest personal opinion and I was not paid in anyway to write this review. I hope it helps someone else. It's just a good durable comforter.

4 years later, still going strong, still love this duvet
I purchased this back in February of 2017. At that time, I was getting my first ever completely brand new bed, and I was living in an apartment. I knew I wanted to get a duvet so I could just have the thin cover to wash rather than continually having to wash a comforter (plus, the new comforters I had previously purchased tended to fade over time, and if that was going to happen, I'd rather it happen with a thin cover that's easy to replace/no muss, no fuss). It's now 2021. I can honestly say I have loved this duvet since I first purchased it and I still love it. It's nice and warm and comforting. I have a queen sized bed, and a king-sized duvet (I was always taught "when it comes to covers, go one size up from the bed you are in"). It has a nice, comforting weight to it. It's definitely plenty warm on its own (I do not like top sheets). My cats love it, I love it. My only "complaint" is after 4 years, it's now off-white instead of blindly white (shocker, I know :)), and yes, it has some piling. Easy complaints to solve for: Put a cover on it. BOOM. Done. The king sized duvet fits in apartment washer/dryers and in regular house washer/dryers. I've found drying this duvet with 12 wool balls not only helps it to dry "faster" (only 1 dryer cycle instead of 2; that has more to do with the size of the duvet than anything else), but will also fluff it up again.

It serves its purpose.
I bought this comforter to use in a duvet cover I'd ordered. I wanted a down alternative this time, and I figured, well, it's pretty cheap, so even if it's terrible, no one's going to see it. Well, it's not terrible. It's a very bright white, which is nice, and it does have the loops at the corner to attach it to the inside of the duvet cover. But I'm not in love with the fabric used on the outside of it. Our last comforter was a very expensive Charter Club, top of the line, down comforter. Unfortunately, it had met its life expectancy, and if I shook it out, down would float down around my bedroom. But it was very comfy--it had the silkiest, smoothest fabric on the outside. This comforter's fabric? Meh. It's not rough, per se, but it has a definite texture to it. Kind of like they were going to make it a microfiber comforter and then changed their minds at the last minute. Feels sort of synthetic-flannel-y. But it's not. It's cotton. But it's not super crisp, nor is it super smooth. Having said that, I'm not super concerned about the fabric. It's going to be in a duvet cover, and it will do its job well in there. I've washed and dried both the comforter and the duvet, and the comforter fits into the duvet well--the comforter may be a teeny bit bigger than the duvet, but I'd rather have there be a little too much comforter in there than too little. I bought the duvet from a store in the UK and had it shipped over--it's their "Super Size King" (which is, of course, smaller than an American Super Size King) at 220cm x 260cm (or 86.6142in x 102.362in).

The perfect duvet, size up though
Perfect partner to my 1800 series bamboo sheets. This duvet is so soft to the touch, and it fluffs up as you use it. Perfectly warm for the winter or if you have ac running. Keeps the chill off and keeps you cozy, not sweltering. I use it naked, without a cover, and the corner tabs are how I straighten it out on my bed. I hafe a thick pillowtop queen size mattress set, and I am glad I bought the king size duvet. Can layer with a beautiful knit blanket for extra warmth on the super cold or damp nights. This duvet is also fairly lightweight so it doesn't crush you as you sleep. I live on Vancouver Island in Canada. Our weather is mild but wet so cozy is a big deal. I absolutely recommend this duvet. :)

Item missing four corner tabs
The comforter/duvet I received was missing the described "four corner tabs for a secure duvet cover fit". This was the main reason I decided to order this particular duvet. So I'm quite disappointed. Now I will need to figure out a different way to secure this duvet insert to the duvet cover. I probably should have kept my old duvet!

Buen producto

LUMPY LUMPY!
This duvet looked and felt great at first, but after only three weeks the filling started feeling pebbly and its upper side became lumpy. Taping it wont fluff the mater. Also, it's not (all seasons) as stated; it's now early summer and it's boiling me up. I’m gonna go for the more expensive dawn feather the next time.
