Very pleased with this watch so far. Have had it a couple of weeks and everything is working great.First off I should say that I am not an ultra-marathoner, or tri athlete, but like the style of the watch. I am looking for a watch that has GPS, gadgets, and can track my infrequent workouts to hopefully get me more engaged at working out. Price really was not a concern, but I wanted a watch that was unique and one that could hold my attention.I previously had a Garmin 405CX as a point of reference. One thing that I notices right away, and one that concerned me initially, was the size of the watch. It is a large watch, but not one that is overly so for my wrist. In fact the 405 was designed such that with the fixed plastic/rubber bands from the top of the watch it was not a comfortable fit. The Ambit2 S band has a band design that is more flexible to my wrist, and more comfortable as I have a larger wrist. The weight of the watch and thickness of the watch were other initial concerns, but both are fine. It is thinner that you would think, in fact seems to be thinner than the 405 (not sure about the specs on that). The battery life is awesome for what I use it for. I have not had to charge it for normal use at all. When I do finish my workouts and I want to plug it in to get the results uploaded, it tops off the charge nicely. For me, therefore, the battery life concern is non-existent.I love the look of the watch. I did buy the red watch, and it is not a gaudy red, but a very nice, subtle shade of red. I wear it with dress and casual clothes on a daily basis, and it fits my lifestyle very well. The one concern that I do have is the wear and tear that you would expect with a painted finish of red, but time will tell on that. It has taken a couple hard bumps so far, on walls and even the driveway once, and nothing so far, but I am expecting it.The online Movescount system is cool. Like I said it will keep me interested, and that is what I am looking for. The downloading of applications is something that I will naturally get into, but have not yet, so am looking forward to that.Overall I am pleased. Not sure how much is tool much for a watch, but it is new, unique, and nobody I know has one. It does very well what I am asking for, and has a ton of capabilities that I will get involved with in the future.

Way better than people are saying (UPDATED: No It's Junk)
I do not understand the negative review describing the long time for GPS lock. This thing picks up a GPS signal in just a second or two. The software syncs the watch with the latest satellite positions so there is no long searching.I also noted the review from the person claiming the watch over-reported his distance. The one thing that I struggled with at first was an incorrect speed/distance on the bike. On the run, it's spot on with my Garmin. There is a setting in Movescount for the distance you travel with every rotation of the wheel. I have 25mm width rims with 23mm tires, so this took some tweaking. The distance in Movescount seems to be based on the number of wheel rotations. Strava uses the gps location. So I just did some basic math and corrected it. Now the Strava miles and the watch's reported miles, and the Movescount miles are equal.I also do not understand the review about the Foot Pod. Why would I ever need to use a foot pod? The thing has built in cadence sensing. I get run cadence just by wearing the watch.I use this with the Garmin cadence and speed sensor and the garmin HRM. The HRM never paired correctly with my Forerunner, but it works great with the Ambit. This thing is just awesome. I swim bike and run with it. It tracks my indoor swims as well as my ocean swims. I love seeing my results.Update: No it's junk. The watch itself is incredible. Suunto can't seem to actually keep its Movescount site up and running. Movescount is essential to syncing up with Strava. I've never seen a website go down so often. It's totally shameful that Suunto creates such good hardware, but its software team must be so incredibly mismanaged. Take a look at Suunto's Twitter account. It's filled with "Movescount is down" "Movescount is back up" etc. Junk!!!!Update 2: It's worse. I'm getting a Garmin now. I've had it with this thing. I just got a brand new computer, and installed MovesLink2 on it. I wondered why my machine was running so slow. I opened up the activity monitor, and it showed MovesLink was using 98% processor time at idle. It had the greatest usage of any app running. My watch was not even connected. Reducing it to 1 star now. Junk.

Love this watch
I would give this 4.5 stars only because it lacks bluetooth ability to sync to your phone. You have to plug the watch into your computer to upload the data. That is a very small con. Uploads are very fast and charges the watch at the same time.Watch is light and durable, has yet to get in the way of clothing or activities. So far it seems quite accurate in regards to pace, distance, and speed. I've used it for both running and mountain biking and the accuracy is great. I love that you also have the option to use the 1,000s of apps on Movescount.com and you can also automatically sync your data to Strava.I would definitely recommend this to someone who needs motivation to run and/or cycle or someone who just wants to track their workouts.

Not as complex as thought.
Great watch. Picks up satellites in seconds flat. Much faster than my old Garmin. The band feels a little cheap, but I've had no issues with it so far. I also bought the Suunto Dual Comfort Belt Heart monitor and they pair effortlessly. Though you do have to have the watch right on top of the belts sender when pairing. After that, no issues. I read several reviews of this watch before purchasing and was concerned about it's complexity level. Well, I was worrying for nothing. Very easy to set up and use. I used the instructions but could have winged if I wanted to.I own a Suunto dive computer and another watch as well. I've been pretty happy with all of the products thus far. Highly recommend this watch.
