The Carhartt men's rip stop line provides durability with reinforced threads that are interwoven into the cloth creating unique fabric strengthening properties, comfort by being lightly sanded on the inside for maximum softness, and convenience with all styles having large roomy pockets with the tradesmen pockets having easy angled pen slots.

$7-10 dollars to reinforce the crotch is frustrating for such expensive and otherwise nice scrubs. It's not expensive to have them reinforced
I have mixed feelings regarding Carhartt scrub pants. These are by far the most resilient scrubs I've ever worn. Fitment of the pants is always questionable. I order XL every time, I receive XL every time, but every set of my scrub pants is slightly different. I actually have one set I can't wear because they are too tight and another set I avoid wearing because they are slightly too big. And *every* set (7 total) have a weak spot in the crotch just below the zipper that tears out. I've started taking them to an alterations place to reinforce them all. This is frustrating...but this seems to be the only weak spot. $7-10 dollars to reinforce the crotch is frustrating for such expensive and otherwise nice scrubs. It's not expensive to have them reinforced, but for the cost of the pants to begin with, I expect more reliability especially considering they bear the Carhartt name. I keep buying them because they are otherwise bullet proof. This is definitely the Achilles heel.

Ripped with light wear
I would give this zero stars if it was allowed. My husband bought these for work (obviously) only about a month ago. Within only a few wears, they ripped while he was getting into his car! Terrible, weak product. Normally, Carhartt is a great brand - but this "ripstop" line is utter nonsense

Tight through the hips/crotch
I'm so torn on the review so let's go pro/conPros: lightweight, durable (ripstop), don't run as long as other scrub style pants, better pockets than other scrub style pantsCons: the cut is so bizarre. I'm a big guy (6-2, 280), with big thighs, ordered XL. The waist is great, thighs are great but the crotch/zipper area is too tight. Not super restrictive but after wearing for one day, could see some pull on the stitching in the zipper area. It's like they took a M or L of that area and put it in a large. If I went a size up I'd be swimming in them. If you have no/thin hips, great buy. If not, go with someone else, these aren't going g to last.

Rugged and Comfortable
These are very comfortable in all sorts of weather. They are light enough to not be stifling in the summer, yet tightly knit enough to be somewhat windproof in the winter. Great for traveling, as they are lightweight and not bulky to pack. They dry essentially wrinkle free and are very sturdy. The only significant shortcoming is that the side pockets on the legs have no buttons or zippers or snaps or velcro to keep things from falling out of them when you sit. You WILL lose your phone or wallet or keys or something else sooner or later. Aside from that, I wouldn't mind 5 or 6 pair for multitudes of uses. As for the fit, I got a medium-tall for a 33" waist and a 6'2" long-legged frame. The waist is no issue at all, especially because of the elastic and the drawstring that allow for a comfortable fit without ever looking all bunched up. For the length, they bunch up a bit at the bottom, but I like it that way because they don't rise up to become capris when you sit. The non-tall version is OK for wearing boots, but really too short for tennis shoes or anything else.

What happened guys? These pants used to be the best :/
I have so many hoursl in these scrub pants working as a float EKG technician in a large academic hospital it's not even funny. They were the only type I had and had two pairs of them and liked them so much I got another pair off amazon to wear in medical school (even though we don't really wear scrubs except in anatomy lab...which is unfortunate). Being a tech for an entire hospital has you pretty active and these pants were the best because they let you clip all sorts of crap to them (as in 2, sometimes 3 pagers and a cisco phone) and have it not fall off while you're cruising around the floor. The pockets are also really useful for organizing supplies you need. And the ripstop fabric in those first two pants is incredible, I was surprised I didn't split them. They did run a bit long though so you may need to have them tailored to avoid the c.diff.That being said, this most recent pair I've gotten the quality has declined a lot. I've had them maybe 3 months, haven't even worn them in the hospital or anatomy lab and put them through anywhere near what the other pants went through and the seems are already showing signs of theseem getting ready to split. Someone must have changed the quality up somewhere, I'm hoping I just got a lemon but I'd be hesitant to buy them again I think despite how awesome the pocket setup is because of this. I do note that my old two pairs both had the leather Carhartt patch on the butt like you find on their duck jeans and these ones have a fabric one, so maybe they're a newer model that's not as good. I don't know. Personally, they are awesome enough otherwise that'd I'd take the risk and go for it if you haven't gotten a pair before.

Best Scrub Pants Ever
Been working as a dental assistant for almost ten years. Our company recently went from ceil blue to navy (yeah!) and I replaced my older pairs of the same style for the new color. I absolutely love the Ripstop material and get great wear (only had 2 pair of the ceil blue and wore them for almost 2 years and washed them twice a week) out of them. I bought four pairs of the navy and with any luck they should last alt least twice as long. If you like pockets, buy these as a set and you will have more than enough storage space. Also, these come with belt loops for a belt, drawstring closure, and they have a zipper fly. Absolutely the best scrubs that I have ever owned, and the only ones that I will ever wear in the future.

Excellent pants, could use cargo pocket closure though.
Just when I thought Carhartt scrub pants were the best thing since sliced bread - I discovered these CARGO scrub pants! I wear these when doing anything around the house, when camping, chopping wood, etc, they are comfortable, tough, lightweight pants. My singular complaint about these pants and the reason I didn't go with a 5-star is that the pockets on the legs don't have any type of flap or cover or closure(snaps) to retain the contents. I haven't had anything actually fall out of them but I can't be entirely comfortable putting stuff in the cargo pockets knowing that items can just slip out. They really are excellent pants though - (I still bought more pairs).

Elastic waist in the back is perfect for keeping everything covered while working
I'm 5'9 and about 200lbs. As a natal female my weight distribution is primarily my hips and buttocks. The back of these pants have an elastic waist which is awesome because it allows my bum to comfortably be covered even when I have to bend down/squat. The belt loops allow me to wear a standard riggers belt which is amazing as I usually require it to keep several things attached (like lanyards with keys). They are thin enough that I don't overheat during the workday inside but if I had to stay outside in fall/winter I would want something heavier. So painters take note? I work inside doing various healthcare/cooking and general maintenance so these are perfect. The length for the regular large is exactly what I need. I tried the short version before thinking that as a woman they might be better but they came up to my ankles and I felt like I was about to go dig for clams at the beach.I've only had these a few months but they are already my favorite and will probably buy several more pairs here soon to cycle out.

Great scrub pants!
These pants are really nice, durable and fit comfortably. I love that they have all the belt loops and zippered fly. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star is because I'd like them to have 2 rear pockets not just one, but, very pleased about all the other pockets these pants have.

Bought as a gift for my brother. He loves these scrub bottoms as they are the only ones that last longer than 6 months. Great product
