My dog isn’t taking a liking to it why?

my dog did'nt like it out of the pouch. i put them in a bowl and rehydrated them with a little water till they were soft, she ate them up.

Once opened how long will it last? Does it have other ingredients in it like peas or just the raw bites?

This has just the light-colored bites that show on the cover. I have two dogs (about 30 pounds each) and I just take a handful and drop on top of their kibble when I feed them. I haven't paid attention to how long it takes but I don't think I use more than 2 per month or 1 each per dog. They can also be used as treats for training. They have only 30% protein as I recall while the kibble I just is 70%. They certainly like them and while they may leave kibble, they never leave the mixers. Hope this helps.

About how many pieces are there in a 5.5 oz bag?

I can’t guess. I buy the 14 oz bag. 56 1/2 cup servings.

Can you push a pill in them with out them breaking up

I suppose it is possible, never tried it. I cut about 3/4 inch off of a cheese stick, make a sm hole in one end, put the pill in and give cheese to dog. He usually notices the pill in just about everything else. The pill is yucky smelling and probably tasting, so I prefer the cheese. I use it for their monthly pill for heartworm, etc. I do crush about 2 of the mixers on the one dogs dinner (dry), and give about 3 whole in the older dogs food. They love it. Great way to get protein.
