Timberland Men's Earthkeepers Kiawah Bay Boat Shoe

This is an EXCELLENT shoe, one that will last for years. Timberland has long been known for their quality designs and construction, and this shoe is no exception. It is a well fitting shoe, sized as expected and proportioned throughout correctly. Starting front to rear, the toe areas are nicely shaped and fits comfortably, leaving enough room and natural contours to fit comfortably for long periods of time, either sitting or standing and walking. Next, the main center styling of the shoe is equally comfortable, again fitting properly, offering just enough room. The tongue and tie areas are designed for easy entrance and a snug fit when tied. Last, to the ankle and heel areas, again, fitting as it should and giving enough support on the sides and rear. Too many shoes are either too low or high in these areas and tend to cause discomfort after time. The heel is also well designed with enough height to give you a good and natural feel as you walk, not too low as with so many deck-type shoes today. Now to the construction itself, it's top quality and holds up very well built out of quality thick leather. The hand stitching around the front perimeter and two-piece leather construction gives an ample yet sturdy feel to the shoe. All-in-all, you can't go wrong with this shoe, the various colors and finishes make this shoe anything from the most casual to dress. I will wear these every day and to church as well, fitting in in any occasion.There are other brands that are similar, I can think of one or two that equal this shoe, but I can think of more that don't. For the prices on Amazon right now, you simply cannot beat this shoe. I currently bought three to add to my collection. I have a 'stash' of these stored back for the day, unfortunately, that these may be no longer available.You cannot go wrong with these, I honestly cannot think of one bad feature with these shoes, and with shoes, bad features tend to be too easy to find as you should well know. Buy 'em while you can!!!

I have never returned a pair of shoes in my life and I've probably owned over 100 pairs. These will be the first. I've had 2 pairs of Sperry's in the past and loved them, but these were much more inexpensive so I figured I'd give them a shot. The old adage, "you get what you pay for" applies here. Chinese carbage.I ordered them in a size 11, but these are equivalent to a 12 or larger. I should've listened to other's reviews before buying these, but I didn't and now I feel like an idiot. My feet constantly slide north and south while walking, and the support is so bad that I can feel my feet occasionally rolling off the insides or outsides of the shoe as I take steps. It essentially feels like I'm wearing fake leather bags on my feet that have tiny soles sewed to the bottoms. Sometimes my feet will remain right in the center as I walk, but more often than not they slide around and overhang the edges of the sole. And as a few others have said, in the past this model of shoe has been fully adjustable. But now the only adjustable part is the lacing on the top of the shoe where you tie them. These pages are not at all connected to the 'faux lacing' that wraps around the shoe. There's essentially no way to adjust these to fit your style--only a way to tighten the area that wraps around the top of your arch. Since Timberland is merely Chinese junk now, I will never give them another penny.Oh yeah, and both of my Achilles' tendons are currently bleeding because of the forward bias designed into the heel cup. Utterly HORRIBLE. STAY AWAY!

This one is a disappointment. They are sized a way too big. I normally wear size 11 in both athletic shoes (Asics and Nike) and dress shoes. Some reviewer said these come in too big, so I ordered 10.5 instead. Even these were so huge. Even if it weren't for size, the shoes don't have good cushion and arch support, and my feet got tired very fast. I had several pairs of Timberland boat shoes over the years. The quality is not the same. The maintained or lowered the price over the years, but reduced the quality as well. I miss the quality material with which they used to make their shoes back in the 1990's. These are very nice looking shoes, but not very comfortable or practical.

This is a good shoe at a great price. Boat shoes have really gone up in price and this one was a bargain. The outside of the shoe looks great and is well made. My criticism is with the inside of the shoe. I typically don't wear socks with shoes like these. The inside of the shoe feels unfinished. It feels rough on my feet. The grommets (eyelets for laces) and the course inside leather make for an uncomfortable shoe if you are not wearing socks. Otherwise, it is a good shoe for the money.

These shoes look great and are very comfortable. The sizing is really large on them. I normally wear a 10.5 dress shoe and ended up finally keeping a 9 after trying multiple sizes. My 10.5 foot actually fit in the 8.5 but my toe touched the end of the show when walking. I would order at least a full size smaller than your normal dress shoe and maybe 1.5 sizes smaller. Other than that though, these are great shoes once you find a size that works for you.
