Delicious and Authentic Japanese Rice Seasoning
This is my second purchase of this mixed furikake pack. For those unfamiliar, furikake is a delightful mix of small pieces of seaweed, dried bonito, sesame, and more, adding a burst of umami flavor and texture to your rice or congee. What I love about this furikake product is its diverse range of flavors. It comes in five different varieties, including Bonito, Beef, Egg, Fish, and a Mix Pack, and they are absolutely delicious and flavourful. The best part is that everything is authentically made in Japan, and that the ingredients used are mostly natural food ingredients, with natural flavorings and colorings. However, I did notice the use of palm oil in some variants. I don’t see preservatives in the ingredients, and that might explain why the pack that I purchased in February has an expiration date of August of the same year. One thing to note is that the five flavors come in different sizes, with some larger and some smaller. Additionally, there is no option to choose specific flavors as the pack includes all five variants. While this might limit customization, the variety is a great way to explore different tastes. In conclusion, if you're looking to add authentic Japanese flavors to your meals, this furikake product is a must-try. It's convenient, flavorful, and adds a delicious touch to a variety of dishes.

Intriguing flavours from Japan, I used my phone translation feature to figure out the ingredients and flavours. Can’t wait to try them in my rice cooker.

4 out of 5 have lactose
The black pack doesn't have lactose or milk as an ingredient but the rest do. I wouldn't be surprised if the black pack did also. The flavour for that pack it ok. If you have an intolerance then maybe rethink this purchase. I have only tried one other brand pack before and found it much more to my liking. Sadly cannot review the other flavours. However, the price is reasonable from my experience.

Great selection
These are really really good and versatile. I add them to a lot of different meals but I love them on rice. It elevates a quick, simple meal. Not bad price for 5 pouches. Excellent flavours

So good and tasty! They are good friends of white rice :) Just one thing, it’s rather expensive. :(

There are essentially only two (2) big brands in Furikake (rice seasoning)...Marumiya and Nagatanien. Both are great, but IMO (and both are sold here on Amazon), Marumiya is the clear winner. I lost over 100 pounds swithcing to a primarily rice-based diet. Furikake allowed me to "fool" my tastebuds into thinking I was eating something other than "just jasmine sticky rice." What these various Furikake seasonings do is to "trick" your taste buds by making your rice taste like an entirely different dish/meal. Think about it, rice that taste like your eating scrambled eggs? Rice that tastes like your eating a steak, chicken, salmon, etc.? At first I thought it was magic. I don't read Japanese, nor am I asian, so I cannot tell you if all the ingredients are natural (either way, it's "MAGIC" to me). Highly recommended. As I said before, Marumiya is my preferred brand of Furikake over Nagatanien (which is not as "flavorful").

This selection gave me no doubles, which was great and each flavour was fabulous, adding instant enhancement to my meals, be they quick meals or more complex meals, There is a somewhat fish taste to some of them, especially, of course the ones that are cod roe or other fish based, but they also have other savoury flavour notes. So if you are not a fish fan, I would still give these a shot; a few tries should get you accustomed to the tastes and loving them. I also had a beef sukiyaki flavoured one, which I don’t eat, but a meat eating friend tried it and it has become her favourite.
