Having trouble getting Fold lines out. Tried ironing but still shows. Any suggestions?

We just hung ours up and let them fall out. Took a couple of days, and technically if you look super close they're still kinda there, but it doesn't look bad at all on the wall.

Will the loops work with a one inch thick rod?
