Amazing! So helpful
This has been a game changer for my baby! We love the sign language and how comprehensive the book is too. Such a great place to start if you don’t have previous sign language experience

Awesome product
It's easy to read, descriptive, it gives history of the deaf culture which I LOVED. Included ABC's, numbers 1-10, animals, and other good starter words like diaper, change, milk, eat, want, finished. My son can't sign yet, but he's starting to recognize signs already (based on his body language) and he's 4 months old. I bought this when he was about 3 months old. Then, anyone who comes over can reference the book if they like.

He is learning sign language at an amazing pace and I want to communicate with him
I purchased this book because my grandson is nonverbal. He is learning sign language at an amazing pace and I want to communicate with him. It is great that I can pick up the book and learn at my own pace. I would have to travel at least 60 miles one way to take a class. Also the background of sign language was very interesting.

So helpful! Easy to understand
I purchased this when I realized my baby was not being very vocal. I used the signs like more and milk to help my son communicate and it was extremely helpful! My son is now 3 and I am still using this book to teach him; we are currently working on the alphabet. I intend to teach him signing as a full second language and this book is great for the beginning stages! I highly recommended this book as it was so helpful to me. The illustrations are fantastic as they use toddlers instead of adults.

Best purchase for baby so far!!!!!!!
this book starts out with a thorough understanding of how and why babies adapt to sign language so readily! Being able to communicate with my child through sign language has proven to be not only a joy but a huge help with tantrums and potty training!! I would highly recommend this book... probably it's best feature is that as the words describe the sign they end with an explanation of why or how the sign looks or it's reasoning... helps to understand without video which was one of my concerns. did I mention I would highly recommend this book??? I will be purchasing it for EVERY baby shower I attend!

Great for Beginners, Limited vocabulary
Update 2021:We used this book as an aid with baby sign language for the first 2-3 years of life of our kids. Initially, I thought this book offers more words than needed. In deed, we didn’t use many of the signs because a child younger than age 3 does not understand nor use concepts like days of the week. However, the book is lacking useful words to fulfill baby’s needs for example to request specific food like blueberries. The Baby Signing Bible is a great introduction to signing for inexperienced parents. We used it from time to time, but ended up making up our own signs. If you’re looking for a waster vocabulary, there are better options.Review from 2019:I have previously read the original book of Baby Signs by Acredolo and Goodwyn, however, I was not satisfied with the amount of signs provided - only about 100 signs. Too little as it does not include basic terms as home or bed. I was, then, looking for a dictionary only, which I couldn’t find. Just as ‘Baby Signs’ the ‘Baby Signing Bible’ also has a fairly long introduction to signing about 50% of the book, but the second half is comprised of about 400 signs. In contrast to the aforementioned book, Berg’s sign language book is designed to teach ASL and can be used for babies as well as older children or even adults. It includes all the basics yet goes beyond baby’s needs. After getting acquainted with the alphabet, numbers, colors, seasons and days of the week, the dictionary continues with alphabetically organized signs including prepositions, action verbs, adjectives and nouns.

Good glossary, helpful tips in the front half for teaching
My husband and I are using these to tea h ourselves signing to do with our baby. The glossary guide is perfect and so helpful! We already knew some things, most of the alphabet and a few words. This is helping expand our vocabulary, and prep us for teaching our girl. She already is fascinated watching our hands when we sign while we talk to her, even at 3 months. I look forward to seeing her start to sign back!
