Not 1 flat after 8months...
... and this is after 3 flats in 4 weeks. I finally broke down and got some decent tires, I bought a pair of Serfas Drifters Survivors and figured if I was going to go that far on the tires then I might as well get the tubes to go with it. After averaging a flat every month and finally three flats in one month I can honestly say that not one bougenvilla thorn, shard of glass or other roadside hazard has penetrated these tubesI'm sure the tires have alot to do with it but, if you were to compare the thickness of these tubes to that of the standard tubes you'd see a HUGE difference. I'd guesstimate a 300% difference in thickness. Not a single flat in 8+months and I'm LOVING it!UPDATE: Okay, the valve stem finally broke on my front tube. I can honestly say that after ~2.5yrs I'm more than happy with the overall results. I'm switching from presta to schrader valves this time simply so I don't have to change the heads on my pump every 10days (my girls ride standard trail bikes)I can't give these tubes 6 stars but if I could, I would. Same with the Serfa Drifters

Heavy, probably good protection, but...
Mine actually failed at the valve. These are seriously thick, heavy tubes. In the future I might just do some liners and stick with cheaper tubes. After a year or so,I've just debonded at the valve anyway

Great inner tubes
I ordered two initially one came. The other mysteriously disappeared out of a sealed bag. I ordered another one on replacement. I just love them after two months they have not lost any air fantastic

Expensive junk
Much like others have reported, I’ve had mixed success with thorn-resistant tubes (likely all from Sunlite) over the years. All failures have been at the stem separating from the tube. The most recent was this morning, when I found a ~2 month old tube tube causing a totally flat tire. I requested a refund from Amazon. At least the failures are glaringly obvious before a ride and have never happened while on a ride.I’ve tried not using the nut that holds the stem to the rim, but apparently that didn’t help with this latest tube.I really wish Sunlite would fix this design / QC issue, because I’d really like puncture-resistant tubes for my bikes. When they’re not failing at the stem-tube interface, they’re great at holding air and surviving.$17 is expensive for a tube, but I’d pay it if the tube gave me a couple years of worry-feee performance.

Worked well for me
I was concerned about purchasing these after reading some of the other reviews, but they have worked well for me (so far) after 3 months of use. I have not ridden off-road or heavy-duty since purchasing, so that might be the difference. I'm generally a lighter duty rider. The gauge of the rubber/tube was surprisingly thick. I was careful about installing and aligning the value.

The tubes are 5-star and my second set. The presta valve surprised me and I had to buy an adapter, so check which valve stem you want first. I run over fields of goat-heads, (thorns), and smile at those who are reduced to carrying their bikes instead of riding them. I will never get normal tubes again.
