For the people who say that the beads look gray, maybe try rubbing them to get rid of whatever's coating them. I rubbed them a little bit and they turned black. This it's my second time ordering them

The beads I received are nothing like the pics online..they are discolored..I will not order them again...

They work well with some other stones and beadings I have and make good bracelets.

I have a black onyx bead bracelet that came apart on me. I was able to find all but two of the original beads and was going to repair the bracelet, but needed to replace those two lost beads. I ordered these from Amazon as I was looking for matte black, 8 mm beads. The price was great...just under $7. When the beads came, they were not the same color as the ones I was trying to match. Instead of a true black, these are more of a dark charcoal grey color. They are very nice beads, but won't work for my intended purpose since they really don't match the original bracelet beads. Just a one star deduct for the color. For your purposes, they would probably be just fine...
