NFL Record & Fact Book 2013 (OFFICIAL NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE RECORD AND FACT BOOK) Paperback – July 23, 2013

Gave this as a Christmas gift to my 8 year old nephew for Christmas and he loves it. He is just getting into football since visiting the Denver Broncos Stadium last year in Colorado on a family vacation. He will no doubt know more about the record setting games and players than most kids his age as he is always studying this book. He has joined and will be playing for a flag football league this year and is the running back, wide receiver for his team. Last year he was in a different flag football league with a lot of boys older than he, yet he managed to score two touchdowns for his team in only six games.

There are many details to keep one amused and educated about the NFL. This is the NFL bible in my opinion. I'm hopeful the redzone statistics will one day make themselves found in this informative book of records, facts and tell all story of results the NFL have endured in it's proud history.

The NFL Record and Fact Book 2013 is ultimately filled with every statistic. Even gives the breakdown of the head-to-head competition of the teams as they played over the years. The final season standings going back to 1920 and much much more. Truly this is a MUST READ for every football fan in America and abroad. Yeah. Keep on printing the NFL Record & Fact Book. This book is for anyone who needs to get official stats about team & individual records. It is a must have tool for any Fantasy Football Owners. I have been buying this book every year for the last 30 years, and I think it is AWESOME!!!

I've ordered (or purchased) this book for years. It comes out every late July/early August. It's filled with schedules, records and team info. If you are a football fan--this definitely adds to your enjoyment. Plus...there's lots of possibilities for trivia questions!!

A great reference during games. Lists a ton of information about current organizations, including stadium facts, all current personnel (office, coaching and player), coaching history, and historical stats. Also lists historical stats league-wide, as well as league records. It's perfect for stat geeks.

This NFL Record and Fact Book 2013, as they call it, represents the second year I have purchased it, but is also the second year which I have been disappointed. I know that opinions and insights are not to be found here, but what is bothersome is that the records and facts are rather so compacted, and not well organized. It does present team schedules and player rosters well, though, and gives a week by week layout of the season to commence the book, which is also good. Additionally, they attempt to cover the history of the NFL, which is intriguing, and do a respectable job at Super Bowl coverage. However, what they need to do better, and more clearly, is the presentation of statistics themselves: players present and past, and records. Perhaps eliminate some, but keep the more important, and go in depth... That is to say, I believe the book should be more logically arranged, and readable. Yet it does a serviceable job in providing background for the upcoming NFL season.

As always, the annual NFL Record and Fact Book is packed with information about the season just gone, the upcoming season and the history of the game. This year's is no exception. If you enjoy the NFL, this book is a must. The "Wisden" of the NFL!
