Nice little tray, legs stay up for me
I'm using this as a small table on which to place some electronic gear - surge suppressor, modem and wireless router - so they're easier to pick up all at once by lifting the tray rather than picking them up one by one. So I won't be moving the legs up and down a lot. When the tray arrived, I pulled the legs down, then put them up & they stayed up. Don't know if this would continue to be the case if I were continuously pulling them down & pushing them back up. But they felt pretty solidly "up" when they were pushed up.The tray itself is smaller than the usual bed tray. The wood is smooth and attractive. The wooden tray surface looks as if it would be more problematic to clean off than the usual laminated bed tray surface, but I won't be testing that capacity given what I'm using it for. It's a very light tray, and it doesn't wobble. The pieces are all firmly and securely attached to each other. I'm very satisfied with this. It does exactly what I wanted it to do - which isn't very much! - and it looks quite nice. None of my gear has jumped off of it since I placed it on the tray, so I guess the gear likes it, too.

Cheaply priced and cheaply made.
This piece is slightly below average but surely could do its job for breakfast in bed if some care is taken.I suggest being very gentle with it and have some fine wood glue on hand to secure loose corners pieces on top. IF one took the time to be very gentle and re glued the corner pieces this would drastically improve this tray. I can't imagine this needing anything more than some slight 'touch up' in the 'glue dept'

sturdy, lightweight folding tray
Great tray - not 100% bamboo, but good enough. The frame and legs seem to be bamboo, but the tray itself has a sticker that states it contains composite wood (w a bamboo-looking lamination on both the top and bottom). The lamination seems to be affixed well so it won't peel off in the near future. It was hard to figure out from their descriptions if any of the "bamboo" trays out there are actually truly 100% bamboo, but this one was priced well and reviews were promising. It is indeed sturdy, strong and good-looking. I really like that it looks like a regular tray when the legs are folded and feels light enough to be used as a regular tray as well. Good for my laptop, eating, writing, reading - I liked it so much that I bought one for my 75 year-old mom. She loves it too!

Perfect Lil Tray
This tray has worked out perfectly for my needs. It is small and light enough that I don't find it cumbersome yet the perfect size to fit a dinner plate, drink, silverware etc. I needed something to eat in front of the tv. I have not had the problem others mentioned about the legs. So far they have stayed in place. But I also haven't carried it around with food on it for very long. I tend to bring the food to the tray and then lift it up where I need.I found the size info hard to find so here it is from the packaging:Folded19 3/4" Long11 7/8" Wide2 1/2" Deep/TallWith legs folded out25.2" Long11.8" Wide9.25" Deep/Tall

Arrived Broken
So I ordered two of these, one for my wife, one for me, for our lazy-breakfast-in-bed mornings. One arrived fine. The other was not assembled at the corner. Rather than waste time returning it, it seemed like it would be simple enough to repair. However, my attempts to repair this myself went horrible. The bamboo is so strong my industrial strength Arrow staple gun couldn't penetrate the bamboo. If you have an air compressor staple/nail gun you might have some luck. Even finishing nails I tried to drive in with a hammer essentially made it fall apart from all the shock of banging and the rigidity of the bamboo. I got it back together again with wood glue, but am suspect of holding it by the handles now with the full weight of a meal on the tray.So this is obvious, I know, but if you get yours to arrive broken, send it back, do not attempt a "simple" repair. Common sense dictates a nail will solve your problem, but in my experience it will make it 10 times worse. The quality of the one that arrived was good. so far no issues.

I just got my bamboo tray. I chose this one instead of a few other options on amazon because I didn't want anything with fake looking wood and thought the bamboo option would be nice and simple. I'm hoping to use this to work on projects while in bed and I think it'll accomplish that. I didn't understand before, but I think a few other reviewers did mention that the surrounding portion of the tray appears to be bamboo but not the flat portion of the tray. There's a glaze or clear coating on the flat tray portion that gives it a weird glossy/shiny finish. It's a little bothersome but there was some white flecks of paper that I tried scraping off but were glazed onto the tray right in the middle. I'm trying to remove it without damaging the surface of the tray. It won't impede the function of the tray, but I wish they could have coated it without having debris on it.

Bed Tray
There is enough room to attractively set your serving on. It is light weight but with enough strength to support the contents. The legs are a little tricky as they tend to fold under when setting the tray on a bed surface. All in all good value for the price.
