Dickies Men's 13 Inch Loose Fit Multi-Pocket Work Short

So I measured my waist and my hips with a tape measure. Waist: 44 Hips: 42. I normally wear Levi's (36x30) at my hips, so I ordered size 42. They arrived in size 42, which was correct. But when I put them on at the hips, they are way too large, like, I can fit a softball between my body and the shorts' waistband. When I pull them up to my waist, they are just a bit loose. SO, my figuring is that they are sized a bit more than 2 inches larger than reality. I'll send them back and get a size 40 to see what happens. I'll review those as well so you can see my results. I'll also not be ordering relaxed fit 11" inseam instead of loose fit 13" inseam. These loose fit 13" inseam feel/look like I'm wearing my mother's culottes, as they end 3 or 4 inches below my knees! Nothing wrong with that--just not my tempo...EDIT: I actually tried different sizes on at a big box store; I found that 38 waist relaxed fit 13" inseam fits best. Just a little bit of extra wiggle room. Again, I measure 42" at my hips, and the size 38 sits on my hips just right.Otherwise, Dickies make fantastic affordable shorts and pants! Tough as nails, and comfortable (once you figure out your size). I'm fairly rough with them; skateboarding serves as my quality test, and Dickies last forever. I'm having to figure out my size because I'm buying my first new ones ever; I've always just bought them at thrift stores before, so I never really knew what I was getting, just looking for the Dickies tag and trying different ones on until I found the ones that fit.

I like that they are loose fit, the 13” lenght is perfect for the style that I carry. They are super comfortable and I like the multipockets. I have these in different colors. Very stylish, sturdy, and fats shipping

I. bought the 36 waist worn 36 for 20 years found they fit tight gave them to my son bought he 38 fit just fine you might want to consider a size up from your usual

For a loose fit shorts, these have 0 give to them. I wear a 33 and have worn a 33 for years. My 33 jeans fit perfectly with a little give. So naturally I got these as a 33, too tight. Went to a 34, tight with no give.I don't know what metric they are using but it's certainly not what every other brand uses. I would definitely go up one or two sizes for anyone wanting to buy these. Other than that, they're not bad. I like the length and they do last quite a while.

There's not much I can say, Dickies products are great products, durable and good looking for Work or Casual wear.

The fit on these are really good for me and they're great for work...The only things I don't like about them are the pockets aren't very deep and it's made of the same material as the rest of the shorts so they're a little stiff. Also the belt loops are a little thin as some have mentioned but definitely not a deal breaker, I love these shorts so I ordered 2 more pairs!

The shorts are super wide legged. Almost like you are putting on a pair of womens coolots. Had the leg opening not been so wide these shorts would have been fine. I am 6'0" 205lb man, and I could fit two of my legs in one leg opening. Shorts are a bit stiff too when you first receive. My guess is after a couple that may change, but didnt keep them to find out. Good length, color and waist fit, just to wide in the leg opening.

Dickies brand... do i need to say more lol. Awesome quality and wonderful quality and functional work shorts. A must have for the working man. You can never go wrong with Dickies.

These dickies shorts are as classic as the word itself. Still feel the same as when i owned a pair in high school. Quality has not gone down and they fit like a glove. Great shorts!!
