This Watch Understood the Assignment
This watch brings me joy. Not in a vague, “I like this item” way, but in a tiny dopamine hit every time I check the time way. The Casio Women’s Vintage LA11WB-1 is delightfully uncomplicated, charmingly retro, and somehow manages to make me feel both practical and cool—which is rare for a wrist-based object. First, the vibes: pure 80s digital minimalism. It’s small, lightweight, and unapologetically simple. No giant face screaming for attention, no smartwatch demanding updates—just clean numbers doing their job. The black resin band is comfortable enough to forget you’re wearing it, which is ideal because you will be wearing it all the time. I wear it lap swimming, and it has never once failed me. Functionally, it punches above its price. The time is clear and easy to read, the backlight is actually useful (looking at you, useless-glow watches), and the alarm and stopwatch are straightforward and reliable. It’s water-resistant enough for daily life, meaning it survives handwashing, rain, swimming, and the occasional “oops I forgot I was wearing a watch” moment. What I love most is how effortlessly it fits into everything. Gym? Works. Casual outfit? Works. Somehow even with a nicer outfit? Still works. It’s giving “I have my life together” without trying too hard. Is it fancy? No. Is it trying to be something it’s not? Absolutely not. And that’s exactly the point. It’s a joyful little timekeeping rectangle that does what it promises, looks great doing it, and costs less than a mediocre dinner out. In short: reliable, cute, nostalgic, and oddly confidence-boosting. Five stars. 5/5. I would buy it again, recommend it to friends, and silently judge other watches for being less fun.

Great watch, the best in the water, and the best countdown feature!
I have been buying this watch for many many years. It is by far my favorite watch. The Good: 1: I LOVE the countdown timer. It is the best feature. Just one button to push to get a 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30-minute timer. Comes in handy a lot more than I would have guessed. 2: It is simple and small and elegant (IMO), not big and bulky like some sport watches. I don't want to see a watch face that has 100 pieces of information on it. I do not need to know the moon cycle or what time it is in Japan when I glance at my watch. 3: Fantastic water resistance: I work with dogs in the water and this watch never has a problem with the water or slobber or trauma it receives. 4: Waterproof band: Since the band is not fabric, it doesn't stay wet or get gross. Since I am in and out of the water, this is huge for me. 5: Price, The price is hard to beat. The not-as-good: (1) the band does not last forever. I have to replace the watch every few years because the band breaks (but as I said I am pretty rough with it and I wear it 24/7). I have never had the battery run out. I have kept ones that had the band break and the watch part on those STILL WORKS. (2) It does not have any backlight feature. I sometimes want to check the time in the middle of the night and there is no way to do this without finding a light source. But if you ask me those are TINY TINY downsides. Replacing a 10-15 dollar watch every few years is still better than

small but MIGHTY
I bought this for one single event where I needed a watch and couldn't have my phone. I bought it because it was cheap, but it has actually become a staple in my life and I wear it on my wrist Every. Single. Day. It is so helpful! It has so many functions (alarms, timers, stopwatch, etc.) that I didn't even expect from it! I use the alarm every day to wake me up in the morning. It's perfect because it's loud enough that I always hear it but not so loud that it wakes my roommate. Also, it isn't waterproof (to my knowledge) but I've definitely gotten it good and wet before and it has survived (although I definitely wouldn't recommend showering with it or anything). It is much smaller than I anticipated, but that's good for me as I have smaller wrists and it would look way too chunky on my wrist otherwise. (The face is probably less than an inch by an inch but the actual display is probably a centimeter by half a centimeter... sounds small but it actually works well.) It is just like having a black wristband on my wrist. Maybe that's not the best if you have really bad eyesight and need giant numbers, but 10/10 would recommend otherwise. Also, I've run into other people with these before and we always agree that these are the best watches ever! UPDATE (3 YEARS LATER): I STILL HAVE THIS WATCH!!! And I still wear it every single day! This thing has gone with me hiking at insanely high elevations, survived me wiping out on a wakeboard, been in a blizzard, and even been with me snorkeling way out in the ocean (where I even used the timer while I was diving so I knew when to head back to the beach). I gave up pretty early on keeping it out of the water and so I have been showering with it every day for years (it's super convenient for making sure I don't lose track of time in the shower!) and I have had no issues or malfunctions at all despite it having been fully immersed in water many, many times and thrown about a ton. Casio should hire me honestly because I have been raving about this watch ever since I got it and I don't see that ending anytime soon. I'll probably still be wearing it in another 3 years!

I Keep Coming Back to the Same Watch
This is the most practical, helpful and simple-to-use watch I have ever owned. I have bought it at least five times in the past 10 years. Sometimes I think I want something "classier" looking and I buy a fancy watch, but ultimately I miss this one and return to it. It is an incredibly useful tool for those who need a "reminder" bell going off in the next 1 to 30 minutes. This is the only watch I have found that has a Countdown Timer right on the face of the watch. It is easy and straightforward to learn and to use. The top row on the face has seven choices of minutes listed: 1- 3- 5- 10- 15- 20- and 30-, Simply hit the top right button one time for the 1 minute, two times for the 3 minutes, three times for the 5-minutes, etc. I use the timer to remind me to check a cooking pot, return a promised phone call, check the parking meter before it runs out, leave my home or a store in time to make an appointment, and at least a hundred other ways. As for its looks, I think its small face and the blue trim make it more feminine and attractive looking than most other sport watches for women. I would like to give it five stars, but it does not have a light. In addition, as others have noted, the band is cheap plastic. However, the convenience of the Countdown Timer far outweighs the downside of no light and a cheap band. Although the band does tend to break eventually, the watch itself seems to last forever. But, my goodness, the replacement cost of this watch is so little that who could really mind. Just remove the band and keep the face as a handy timer and alarm in the car and at work. I have even taken a broken band off and given the face to a child who loved having it as a "pocket watch." I hope they keep making this watch -- there is nothing else like it out there.

One Watch to rule them ALL!
This watch make and model has been part of my life for well over twenty years. I discovered it by accident and fell in love with the extraordinarily simple countdown timer Casio came up with. With a single button push, you get a 1-minute countdown. Two presses gets you a 3-minute countdown, three presses gets you a five minute countdown, and on through, 10, 15, 20, and 30 minute choices. I GOT SO SPOILED USING THIS SIMPLE, ELEGANT TIMER THAT I STARTED STOCKPILING the model in fear that Casio would discontinue it (why does that always seem to happen?). Any way, I used to go get, say two watches at Sears, and replace the cheap plastic band with a better, more resilient one immediately and then wear the watch until it eventually died years later. Usually these watches lasted several years through fairly rough use. They are pretty water resistant until you replace the battery after which I could never get the gasket to fit back in perfectly, but the watches trooped on along. Batteries lasted about 2-years each but unfortunately are not a much-used configuration/style these days and so I have found a supplier of those too and stockpiled about 10 or so. I truly love this watch and its simplicity. They usually die in a few predictable ways after years of dependability. If you change the battery, the watch often gets confused as to whether it is am or pm, so you have to confirm this before relying on alarm settings, but the timer is always dead-on perfect for me. The watch band is not long-lasting, but easy to replace with ones I like better. Age brings degradation of the display and eventual death, but it takes exceptionally long and didn't seem unreasonable for a watch that cost less than twenty bucks new. I liked this watch so much, I converted my husband who now wears one (albeit with a macho sports band...). And while I may sound like I am a paid shill of Casio, I ensure you that I am not. But perhaps I should buy stock, considering how many customers I have converted to this simple, little device. the idea that Casio may someday discontinue this model make me quake in my boots. How will I know when to turn the heat off my breakfast egg? Eeeh Gads! (P.S. Don't fall out of a boat in the Bahamas wearing this watch-it will die.... :(. Other than that.... Play away!!!)

Lightweight, functional digital watch for petite wrist!
I grew up without using a watch, so it was hard to get into a habit of using one daily, but this one is amazing to use! Simple, functional, and is waterproof (I even had an Apple watch that was left unused for 2 years). The clock face is easy to read, however it does NOT glow in the dark. This watch is a great fit for my petite wrist and I hardly notice it there when I use it to sleep or do dishes. I've had it for 3 months now with no issues - i think it will last me for years.

Best watch everrrrr
As a skinny girl with a small wrist, I always struggle to find a watch that is both comfortable and flattering. Most watches feel bulky, too heavy, or simply overwhelming on me. But the Casio LA11WB is perfect. It’s lightweight, sleek, and sits beautifully on my wrist without sliding around or feeling awkward. I also love how versatile it is: minimal enough for everyday wear, but still stylish if I want to dress it up. The digital display is clear and easy to read, and the design has that timeless Casio retro vibe that never goes out of style. Plus, it’s super durable and affordable, which makes it even better. Honestly, I can’t recommend this watch enough. If you have small wrists and want something that looks chic, feels comfortable, and lasts, this is the one.

Child-sized watch
I have loved Casio for a while, and this was the first watch of theirs that I bought for myself. My job is a bit messy, so I wanted a watch that could survive being wet, bumped constantly, and getting other substances like dirty water or food on it. I felt that Casio watches would do the trick. After a fair amount of consideration over which watch to buy, I landed on this one. When I opened it up, I was shocked at how small this watch really is. It is TINY. The whole watch face is less than a square inch in surface area, and the actual display is about the width of a dime or less. Thus, it is harder to read the display. On the plus side, the watch is very light and doesn't move around a lot on my wrist. Personally, I still would rather it be bigger. Other than this, everything else works great. The buttons are sort of hard to press when you are adjusting the time, so it is frustrating to cycle through all those numbers. Also the alarm does not wake me up on its own. I am a heavy sleeper, so if you are like me, definitely do not think you can rely on this alarm. It makes a good addition to my other two alarms in the morning, however. I also can use the quick timer as a snooze button....I usually use either the 1, 3, or 5 minute alarm in that case. I love having an accurate watch. Other than its size, the watch looks great. I went with the blue watch, and it certain lighting, the blue looks light purple or periwinkle, which I think looks very nice. Display is crisp, though I do wish I could adjust the contrast slightly. The strap looks exactly as it does in the picture, and in person the texture makes it look even better. I love the classic Casio straps, though this one is very thin so I'm expecting it to give out sooner than other Casio watches. All in all, there's a lot going for this watch but a lot drawing from it, too. I will definitely buy Casio watches forever, but will not buy another one of this model, except maybe for a child.
