Very nice little table! I actually purchased it to serve as my computer keyboard and mouse table which is very handy when you play and record on your large piano/keyboard and need more flexible arrangement for your mouse and computer keyboard because of the constant moving around the equipment etc. This is a perfect size table that doesn't take up a lot of space and it's strong enough. I wouldn't place my coffee mug on it while having the mouse and the computer keyboard even though, there's enough space for all three. It's a little unstable for too many things, but perfect for the intended use and very mobile and functional. Check the photos I posted of my arrangement of this little nifty table. I have no idea how functional it would be for a laptop but it looks perfect for my iPad-2 (with or without keyboard) and a coffee mug). Two thumbs up!

I already had one of these exact tables (purchased elsewhere) and just got this one from Amazon. It's very easy to assemble, just four screws with the included wrench. (Handy hint, put the height lever toward the back. That way it doesn't stick out the front and is still very easy to use.) The table rolls easily and the height adjustment lets you put it right where you need it. It also pivots very smoothly so that might not be for you but I love it. It's perfect for a laptop or even a sofa-side table for essentials. I got it in black. It's very nice looking. The adjustable part of the post is silver but it doesn't stand out, particularly if the table is not in a high position. You do have to push pretty hard on the center of the table to lower it. So you want to set the height before setting a laptop on it. My only complaint about this: There were some white flecks on the table top. I don't know what they could have been but a fingernail took care of them easily.

This stand was easy to assemble with only a few parts. The instructions, which contained only pictures, were fairly simple, if you are a picture person. The table heights are great, meeting my needs. However, it is a little difficult to lower the table. Everything must be taken off and thn the table can be lowere by pressing hard in the middle of the table. Other than that, it rolls easily on hardwood, have not tried on carpet. The wheels are of the plastic type, but installed and work well.

A less expensive and lightweight alternative to a heavy duty "up&down" desk! It's exactly what I was looking for!! It's seems sturdy and I love how the desk's top swivels easily (some may not like this feature-there is no stopper to prevent it from swiveling/spinning). The slight effort you have to make to get it to go back down makes it seem that much sturdier (you literally have to put your body into it). I love the desk's feet so I can rest my feet on it so I can get rid of my old, broken foot stool. Super easy to put together, although I looked for a part (the plastic cap) for like 5 minutes before realizing it's a non-essential part that doesn't exist with this particular model. The only thing the seller could do better is to update the instructions that comes with it. I'm only 5"1 and use the bottom portion of an office style bunk bed for my office and voice over booth. I'm short enough to be able to stand underneath so when I get into the tedious process of editing or accounting, I'm know this desk will help alleviate Sore-Butt Syndrome! Definitely one of many favorite purchases of all time!!

I am 5'2 and read the reviews saying it was a bit short but I thought I would be just fine because I'm already on the short side. This was not the case. I still find myself tilting my neck down lower than I'd like. Unfortunately, I would need this to be at least 5 inches taller to comfortable use my laptop. The other issue I had with it was "removing the cap" from the rod in the instructions. The was no cap to "remove". I either didn't remove it and its there, or it came without a cap. This may have caused issues with how the desk lowers. To lower the desk to its shortest height I have to throw my whole weight on it for it to come down. You have to push it down very hard. Other than that the desk looks great and it's super portable. If you don't need it to be tall get it. Otherwise, reconsider the 36.5 in height. It's not much taller than a regular dining table.

First things first -- this product is $50. Not $140. What do you reasonably expect for $50? The product has a sound design and each of the components is sound/solid. It is straightforward to assemble. (I assembled three of them in less than 15 minutes. Only issue was that manufacturing dust needed to be cleaned off some of the parts; but all parts were in perfect working order.) It would be unfair to call the item flimsy. It is not flimsy. It has a single post. But the base is no less stable than should be expected. Let me confess that I'm not using the "laptop computer desk" as a laptop computer desk. I use it as a secondary work/storage surface -- to keep the surface of the desk where I work clear and to allow me to spread out papers and materials. It is a very attractive item (I think .. again, for $50). Clean and simple design. The surface is a matte finish -- perfect. I like the all-black color (but for silver if you extend the post). The lowest setting of the post will bring the surface into a parallel level with a typical desk height. I don't see why you would want to extend the post beyond that level -- but you get about another foot (or more) of additional height if you want it. Of course if you have the post fully extended (and the surface loaded), stability will suffer. I put one next to the computer workstation of on of my daughters for her food/drink and work papers. I have one each in use behind/next to my desk in two other office spaces. Useful product.

Instead of having a sit-stand desk that just collects dust I've been trying for the last year to instead have an adjustable table for my keyboard and mouse. A needed solution b/c my office is my living room is my bedroom. And my computer is my office is my entertainment. And I am in all manner of vertical positions throughout the day. I've been through 3 other solutions that al left a lot to be desired until running across this - and it's so amazing - I can raise it to stand or lower it all the way to sit and roll it to my couch when not working. The wheels work so well and the shape gives you width where you need it and is low profile where you don't. It's perfect. The hoarder in me wants to buy a second one just in case something happens to this one. It's just that good of a solution. Well made for the low price, so a good value too. Even if you don't use it like I do, It's an awesome versatile piece that you can't go wrong having around.

Pros: Lightweight, rolls easily, relatively small footprint. It's a replacement for a larger more cumbersome one. Unlike some others report, mine is pretty sturdy. Holds my MacBook Pro and iPad Pro well, even side by side. Cheap price. Pneumatic cylinder works well although you have to lean on the table to make it go down, not a big deal. Pneumatic cylinders are supposed to have some resistance, wouldn't want it to go up and down too easily, We'll see how long it lasts, have only had it for a day. Cons: Before I describe my assembly struggle let me say I'm a motorcycle mechanic, not a stranger to parts assembly and use of tools. Assembly instructions are less than stellar. Here's why: On my instruction sheet the picture of the top support shows a square base on which sits a round piece on which sits a square bracket. The picture shows the cylinder end going into that square bracket. Mine has no square bracket. The instructions also say that one must remove the plastic cap from the end of the cylinder that goes into the bracket. Mine has a small white plastic "cap"(?) Gentle tugging with pliers would not dislodge that cap. So I called Flash Furniture. I think they're in GA (770-721-8391). Fortunately the woman who answered was English speaking. I swear she announced her name was "Vicky". I also swear that in the background I heard another woman announce herself as "Vicky". How many "Vicky"s do they have there?? I explained that I purchased the product from Amazon and provided the order #. After not being able to find the order # in their system she said I must have purchased it from Amazon. Really? When I asked whether anyone there was familiar with this product she answered haughtily that they're a distributor and they sell thousands of products. But she'll try to help. So I explained that the square bracket shown on the instruction sheet is MIA. She explained as if to a toddler that sometimes the pictures are only an approximation. Hmm, but somehow the cylinder end has nothing to attach to. If I just push it in the lever pops it off. Perhaps it's because I can't remove the plastic "cap". The plastic cap absolutely has to come off; you have to pull on it pretty hard. So much for not knowing anything about your products. Well, she replied, that's just true of all cylinders. So now this woman who has no knowledge of the thousands of products they sell is a cylinder expert. While talking with her I tugged and tugged with increasing force but if that plastic piece is supposed to come off I'm a frog. By now she was barely hiding her attitude behind her southern drawl. She finally said she would send me a replacement top support. What's my name and address? I started to give it at a normal rate of speech but heard, ma'am, ma'am! MA'AM! I HAVE TO WRITE THIS DOWN SO YOU HAVE TO SLOW DOWN! No problem. What about the cylinder on which I have now damaged that plastic piece that she insisted I must pull off? She's sending a new cylinder too. In the end that's decent customer support but I could have done without the attitude.

Ich habe lange gesucht, um einen formschönen Stehtisch zu finden. Dieser Tisch sieht (auch aufgebaut) gut aus, die Stabilität ist ok, aber....leider funktioniert die Hydraulik nicht! Ich habe den Tisch aufgebaut, die Teleskopstange eingebaut, auf Stehhöhe eingestellt, und jetzt kann ich ihn aber nicht wieder tiefer stellen, obwohl es eigentlich verschiedene Höhen geben sollte. Das ist für mich ok, aber eigentlich eine Fehlproduktion. Ich kann ihn also nicht nutzen, wenn ich ihn z.B. vor das Sofa stellen wollte.
