Absolutely clever device that works in every way and works on every phone except, evidently, the giant ones (although one reviewer modified his holder to make his big phone fit). There is a long list of supported phones in the product description.Per the weird reviews, the cameral, flash, screen and controls are not blocked. It does not come with the tripod. Doh.Use the superior controls on the tripod to do panoramas, etc. Why in the world would one not do that? Same for leveling things. Anyone who has ever spent more than 20 seconds taking a photo with any camera on any tripod knows this.A person with normal dexterity would find it easy to mount and remove the phone. Same for mounting the holder to a tripod (assuming all the screw parts are in good shape).The plastic seems to be well braced and of high quality.It fits on any tripod and the threaded part is metal, as is the inside of the swivel. All contact points are covered in felt. The spring tension is just right. All contact points are covered with felt.I use it to mount an iPhone that has slow motion capability so that my magnificent golf swing can be fine-tuned and the Tour people will beg me to compete. Which jets are best these days? Wish I had all this stuff when I coached baseball.This is a superior product, well engineered and well made. One of my favorite purchases and one that is well worth its price and should get almost daily use.Presumably made in China as there is no information otherwise.

Looking at the pictures, it looks like it just mounts on a tripod mount and holds your phone upright or to the side with ease. Well, only part of that is true - it definitely mounts easily and holds the phone, but it doesn't hold it level. Or anything close to level.The pivot on the cell phone mount is very "sticky" for lack of a better word; there is no granularity when moving it around, so you have to just try and get it as straight as possible without going too far in the other direction. I normally spend quite some time trying to level it out and eventually give up because it isn't feasible.Also, the mount itself blocks the view of the touch screen if you have the back of the phone (as in the side that usually has the better camera) facing what you are shooting. This makes it somewhat difficult to start recording and/or taking pictures with, depending on how you put the phone in the mount. Of course, if you do adjust it where you can click on things, leveling becomes more difficult...I wouldn't buy this mount again if I had the choice; I'd hope that another mount doesn't have the same issue. It works for just holding your phone, but that's about it.

Works great with my large smartphone (Note 4) and with my GoPro. Mounts to a standard tripod connection and makes my tripod much more versatile. Very secure grip for expensive phones or action cameras.This is not a huge deal, but the vertical arm could be a little longer; it takes a little adjustment to get a large smartphone oriented without the tripod base getting in the way.

While it will fit a Galaxy S4, if you use an Otterbox Defender, it barely fits, too tightly. The modification is to remove the spring, cut the spring down to about 15mm, then put that segment back in. While the spring no longer keeps it closed, it gives the extra space in the clamp while using the spring segment to hold the phone tightly.I do recommend this device.

This is my 2nd tripod adapter. Nothing happened to the first, I just wanted another! This may be the best single item that I have purchased from Amazon! I use it primarily with my Galaxy Note 4 (which is my social media workhorse), but my business phone, an iPhone 5S fits nicely into it as well. I carry it with a mini tripod everywhere I go. They are great for times when I'm on Skype, Google Hangouts or Periscope. I can easily convert to my full sized tripod and take pics & vids in the park, or, ANYWHERE!

Takes a little bit to find the best way to insert your device in the holder so that it is secure and not touching the touchscreen of your device, but once that's done, the holder works great. Easy to mount on the tripod.

I was disappointed when I first tried this on my Samsung Galaxy S4 because I use it in the Otterbox Defender case. That case is over 3" wide and it wouldn't fit in this tripod mount. But then I read a review that said the spring could be cut down to fit larger phones. So I just gently removed the spring from the back without damaging it, and now my Otterbox case fits snugly in it like it was made for it, without the spring in it at all. I am very happy with this tripod mount.

I was upset that when this came I misread te description and thought I was getting a tripod. I got over it and got back online and ordered a tripod. I decided to keep this so I would have it for when The tripod came in. I got the tripod and went to screw this onto it and discovered the threads are stripped and it won't screw onto the tripod. So doubly disappointed from the ridiculously outrageous keyword wordy title to the lack of quality of the actual mount. And to top it off the "sellers" refuse to contact me back after three emails now. Horrible experience and would stay away from these charger city accessories.

I wanted a basic clip to hold my HTC sense while I tried out some timelapse and macro stuff on Vine. And this clip is fine for entry level, but a month later I'm already looking at stepping up. It is just not that stable, there is actually flex in the casting, not play in the components.Not really recommended for any real application.

Very good for the price. I just find it lacks a little bit of precise adjustment (if you need to rotate it let,s say imm it can be hard to really get it move precisely to that position)...but am very happy overall and have found my tricks around it.

I bought this gadget for my BlackBerry Z10. It works well even with the Z10 Transform case installed. With it mounted on a monopod, it's very handy to shoot video in a crowd.With it mounted on a tripod, and with a camera self-timer app installed on my Z10, I was able to take great travel photos without help from others.No need to carry my full-size camera on trips anymore.

Broke. The part of this attachment that screws onto my tripod just snapped off and broke into a few pieces when I was gently adjusting it as I was getting ready to film a video. Thankfully my phone is ok and didn't break from the fall. Cheap plastic garbage. I'm using to rubber bands right now that work just as well... don't think I'll even bother replacing it.

Fits my phone perfectly.
