Absolutely the best valued radio on the market. (Instructions in this review)
Im giving this head unit a five out of five simply based on quality/quantity for the price. Let me start by saying that this unit already has a good customer rated following which is why i ultimately chose to buy it. It is very reasonably price at under $200 and that includes the model with the rear back up camera (which is the one that i bought). Installing the unit was simple after doing a little research. There is a lack of instructions for installing the unit but i will give some simple advice toward the end of the review. After installing the unit i happened to be very impressed at the amount of features and the quality at which this product delivers for the price. I feel like the unit is much more high end and enxpensive than i had originally anticipated. The finish of the bezel is in high gloss black. The screen comes with a pre install sticcker with warnings on it but if you are careful at removing it there will be a second clear protective layer that stays on to help prevent scratches. The radio has a couple backgrounds that you can choose from (although most of the time the screen will be on the radio or whatever media mode you are using at the time). However you can navigate through the radio's features without disturbing your media playback. The screen resolution for playing movies is superb! I played a 720p movie from a micro sd card and it plays it wonderfully. Very clear and in high definition. Bluetooth connectiin can be a bit confusing. When you pair your device you need to go to the hands free mode or the screen that shows the dial pad for making calls. Here it will say disconnected. Click on the link icon at the bottom right. When you are in this screen make sure your devices bluetooth is on AND is discoverable (for android users). Click search on the unit. Your device should see a device called BOSSxxx (x being numbers). Once the phone pairs it will ask for a pin. Just type 0000 and it will connect. This should only have to be done when you first pair the two. The call quality is very clear. Just make sure you put the mic in a good spot on the dash to where your voice will easily be picked up when facing forward. It can be so clear that the other person may not realize that you are essentially having a phone call on speaker phone. Installing the unit is pretty straight forward if you are using the appropiate adapters for your model car (sold seperately). Buy that because it is worth the few dollars and it wires color to color. No guessing and no hacking your factory harness. When you get to your rear camera this part gets the lack of instructions. When you run the wires you'll notice that each end of the yellow rca cable has a short red wire. The red wire at the end that plugs to the back of the radio will tie into the radio's harness wire labeled camera. The red wire at the end that plugs to the camera needs to be tied into your rear tail lights to get it's power so it will come up automatically when you put the car in reverse. It does come with a hole saw foe the camera to fit in and the camera is very compact and inconspicuos. However, if you ar drilling into a thick steal bumper you should drill a pilot hole all the way through first before using the hole saw because the bit provided is very dull. Before you finish pushing your camera all the way into the hole, engage your park brake and put the vehicle in reverse so you can see which way the camera is facing (there is a specific way the camera must face). Also, there are a couple different ways that you can use your rear camera (such as having it on all the time) so do your research if you want to utilize this feature in different ways. When its all said and done this unit is extremely ideal for the price and functionality. The only thing this radio lacks versus any other high end unit is well in my opinion nothing. It works exactly how i wanted and even exceeded my expectation with the feel of its OS. I highly recommend this product!

Excellent system
Excellent BOSS Audio Systems stereo. The screen looks great, the touch response is smooth, and the sound is clear with good bass. Fast connectivity and many practical features. Very satisfied with the purchase.

More than what you pay for - I'm glad I paid for it :)
First things first. This head unit does NOT have an SD card slot. It is a MICRO SD card slot (the newer super small card). Massive difference. All the people that have posted comments and the description itself says there is an "SD card slot" when it is not an SD card slot. I got it hooked up without any issues. Sound is great. Touchscreen is slightly misaligned and a rather low resolution (but it was $100!). So I can look past that. I cannot get rid of that incessant touch screen beep sound when you touch the screen. Having a hard time finding the the right video format to play movies from the MICRO SD card. supposedly AVI/DIVX at 720p. hopefully I'll find the right configuration soon. I hooked up a camera to the camera port and that works too. All in all, I'm very pleased with the purchase. ***UPDATE*** I am using the "Divx Convertor" free application and it works perfectly. Albeit the output size is large. I couldn't find a configuration with the Handbrake program to work properly. ***UPDATE*** After about three months the unit kept randomly locking up or restarting and it was happening more and more as the time went on. It got to the point where if I drove to the store it would shut off about five times in a 15 minute drive. I called their support and they were totally cool. They shipped me a new one before I sent my unit back so I wouldn't be left with a hole in my dash. Then I shipped back the old one in the same box. The new one is working flawlessly. Props to BOSS.

You get what you pay for...it's cheap and it shows.
I purchased this when it was on promo a few weeks back - I mean it is a touchscreen audio system with USB, bluetooth, and more. Seems like a great device for $100! What can go wrong? Well, a lot can - read on! I received this a day after I ordered and got it professional installed in my 2007 Scion tC and paid an additional $200 for harness and accessories to get this working in my car. Specifically: 1. A wiring harness for Toyota vehicles 2. Adapter to get steering wheel interfaces working with the unit A day after, the device didn't seem 100% working as it should or expected as it should based on the specs and other reviews here. Some notes and issues right off the bat: 1. The screen is very reflective but usable. However, the UI was not laid out well and not intuitive right away. Boot up time seems to take a while. 2. Tried to pair the bluetooth with my iPhone 6 Plus and never got it work. There was a minor but audible hissing sound when in this mode. My phone asked for a code to pair and nothing on the touchscreen displayed on what do next. Manuals were horrible and not helpful. 3. None of my USB drives worked in either the USB plug or extension. For the most part, this was a dealbreaker. All my drives had no issues playing in other car audio systems in other cars. 4. SD and CD quality was good when listening to MP3s once I got EQ and audio setting set for the 700th time. See $5.. 5. Audio quality and settings and getting them to save WAS A PAIN and NEVER WORKED - I spent sometime setting up the right EQ, loudness, and volume settings for my car. However, everytime I changed an input or turned off my car the EQ settings would revert back to factory default. Very annoying to recalibrate everything over and over just to get it so sound right. Who wants to sit for 5 minutes calibrating audio settings everytime you start your car! No way, sorry Boss, your product is crap. 6. It's rebooted a couple of times on it's own. WTF? After a week, I decided this system wasn't cutting it - the number of issues were adding up and for a sound system that should just work out of the box. It's an investment for your car - a long term one. Given these these issues right off the bat, I didn't have much confidence on it's ability in the long term. For the base functionality it was supposed to do from my expectations based on what it advertised it could do (load MP3s from USB and be able to connect my phone do it), it didn't work as advertised. I decided to return and purchase a Pioneer unit and want back to my professional installer to swap out the unit out which meant more money spent on installation and labor ($125). An added expense that shouldn't been spent if the cheap Boss unit couldn't do what it was supposed to do correctly out of the box. So, in my case a good deal meant spending more than I had to because of crappy product. After testing the Pioneer, the product experience and quality was night a day on the Pioneer compared to the Boss unit.

Lower cost alternitive to big name car stereos.
The Boss Audio BV9364B is a good option for those seeking a lot of features in a Double-DIN car stereo for a relatively low price. Quality aftermarket car stereos can be defined by their ease of installation, features, appearance, functionality, and value. This particular unit hits high marks on many of these criteria, but could benefit from some further refinement. First impressions of my Boss Audio head unit were very high. The appearance of the unit is excellent. A sleek, black screen is surrounded by a quality looking bezel. The few buttons are logically placed and function well. A quick look through the user manual provides an impressive list of features. Inputs include bluetooth, aux, USB, SD, AV, rear camera, and steering wheel controls. This unit also includes an optional input for a rear view camera. The unit also includes built in subwoofer control. In my application, however, the unit did not send a signal to my vehicle's stock subwoofer. In order to utilize the subwoofer in my car, I have to run new wiring from the subwoofer to the back of the head unit, where I can make a connection that will plug into a separate subwoofer jack. It is some extra work, but I do have the option to utilize my stock subwoofer. Installation of the unit was fairly simple. The unit did not come with an adapter that could utilize my vehicle's wiring harness, so I did have to buy one. Splicing in the new adapter is simple as long as you have a soldering kit. The bluetooth receiver is easy to install, and comes with plenty of extra wire so it can be placed wherever you want it. The rest of this installation is as simple as plugging everything in and pushing out some tabs built into the sleeve. Once installed, you can begin to explore the many features of the stereo. One feature that you will not find is a seek or scan function for the radio. If you use your fm or am radio often, this may be a bit annoying. The only other downside of this unit is the touchscreen sensitivity. Even after it is calibrated, the touchscreen often takes many tries of touching the screen before it responds, especially while changing the equalizer settings. With the exception of some sensitivity, the rest of the features of the BV9364B function as they should. If you are in the market for an aftermarket, Double-DIN car radio, but do not want to spend the money for a higher grade, big name unit, the Boss Audio BV9364B is an option worth considering.

Your Gonna Like it
4.5 stars. I purchased this aftermarket radio after reading multiple reviews. I purchased the wiring harness for my vehicle as well. I have a 2008 Toyota Sienna. I also purchased the double DIN mount for my vehicle make and model. Another must to make installation easy. The mount and harness came together in another Amazon purchase for an extra $25 My original radio swallowed a CD and would give it back. My family lives listening to books on tape when traveling. This was awful and we waited just under two years to make a new radio purchase. This would be my first aftermarket install. I purchased some tools for removing the paneling quickly and without damage. This was an extra $9 Read some other posts and you'll find out about grounding and the parking brake wire. You may want to use a toggle switch and expoxy the switch to the top of the brake frame so your foot can toggle the switch, just saying. Toggle switches are about $6. I chose to solder the wire harness on and use heat shrink to make a cleaner wire connection than nuts or butt end splice. I already had the solder iron b and the extra solder was about $4 . I already had the heat gun and heat shrink. My first go with the radio with the kids was to Grandma's house. No fighting at all. Occasionally, I can't see. Did good. Only problem was kids didn't sleep while traveling. Not too bad. The only real issue I didn't like was the lack of ease with the radio. The seek for radio is not present. You have to go through each station to set up your radio channels. This is also not very good for travel. Minus 1/2 star for that. The blue tooth works very good. Mounted the Mic up high on the back of the light above the rear view mirror. Works really good and used up most of the Mic wire and it's hidden. Tried out Bluetooth calling grandma and she could hear skill the kids even in the back row. Streaming also works good. Only heard an occasional click like a turntable click. Don't know if it is the radio the phone or the streaming company. Not a big issue. So if your willing to purchase the mount, wire harness, tools, it will cost a little more but make the installation easy. Great product. Low price. Do it.

Perfect for the price
I was expecting this to be a pretty inferior radio due to the price being so much lower than name brands like Sony or Pioneer, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and build. While the sound quality will not blow you away, it was a noticeable upgrade to my stock GM radio in my old work truck, an '04 Chevy Silverado. If you're pairing this with a decent amp & quality speakers; I'm sure with would be sufficient for the average listener. Screen sensitivity is the one down side I've found so far - not super sensitive - but responsive enough that it functions without too much frustration. Just requires a couple milliseconds of patience (tough to find in today's world, I know). I mostly wanted this for the front and back camera's, but having Bluetooth capability was a bonus. Bluetooth pairs instantaneously with my iPhone XR. For calls, the microphone seems to be as good as your average headphones. No one I've talked to has complained about it being difficult to hear me. Talking both stopped in a parking lot and traveling at highway speeds. Picture quality for reverse camera is very bright and crisp. Tested DVD and this head unit has the ability to bypass the parking brake by grounding out the radio's brake trigger wire on any negative/grounded surface; I just grounded it to the mounting plate. So, you can watch DVD's without figuring out where to tap into your parking break wiring. (of course, I would never watch a DVD while driving down the highway - but a person could if they felt like being incredibly irresponsible and didn't care about the safety of their passengers or other people on the road - seriously - pay attention to the road while you drive) Picture quality is by no means 4k, but pretty good for DVD quality video. There are video outs if you want to run separate monitors for backseat passengers - I have not tested this, so see other reviews for more details. Overall, I'm ecstatic with this purchase. The price point is a massive bargain for the quality and features you'll get with this unit. If you're looking for an upgrade, but need to stay within a budget - or you just don't care enough to fork over a large chunk of money, this is a pretty good deal.
